About us
"Nellikka" is one of the first IT integrated waste management tool developed in India for monitoring and management of waste generation, waste collection, user fee collection, public cooperation, educating non cooperative customers, tracking logistic movement, reuse and scientific disposal and tracking the performance of Haritha karma sena (waste collecting team). Using the tool, the entire residence and commercial under ULB will be mapped digitally and the waste collecting team themselves will capture the details of waste generation, collection, user fee collection, volume and type of waste and source level segregation, public cooperation etc. The data generated will help the UBL to run the waste management activity more effectively and successfully. In Feb 2018 Pilot project was implemented at Thaliparamba Municipality of Kannur District Kerala. A now we expanded to 7 UBL including Kannur Municipal Corporation and 7 Panchayth altogether of 2.28 Lakh residence and commercials. We are able to create impact in such a way that our activity is mentioned in NITI Aayog report “Waste wise cities 2022” (page no 180 to 183) about our pilot project in Thaliparamba Municipality in Kannur District Kerala, also we are awarded by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India as one of the "Top 30 Startups" in India in the waste management sector. Our new upgraded system is designed in such a way to bring people closer to the government, connect people digitally with local government and to contribute to solve local issues like waste management and grab different schemes and benefits to the common public issued by the government. Also dignifying and developing the waste collecting team, focusing on local circular economy, upgrade their standard of operation digitally, as technocrats who are capable of delivering multiple services digitally and also market place for local farmers, fishermen and manufacturer.

Honorable Minister Mauvin Godinho of the Panchayath government is spearheading a groundbreaking initiative that aligns with two key visions of Prime Minister Modi - Swachh Bharat Mission and Digital India. They Introduced the WOOW GOA APP, a digital platform designed to monitor every aspect of waste management – from door-to-door collection and waste segregation to staff deployment, service tracking, vehicle movement, public cooperation, and user fee collection. This innovative approach promises to revolutionize waste-related activities in Goa. For this initiative, the minister has chosen the Swachh Bharat Mission national award-winning startup, Nellikka, incubated in the prestigious IIT Kanpur. Nellikka, with its wealth of experience in the field, is set to lead the charge in this mission. The honorable minister inaugurated the trial run at Chicalim Panchayat in the Dabolim constituency.
