The first ever company to offer collagen products, right from raw materials to finished products.

About us

When Nizona’s journey began in Japan, the founders had a one-point mission–‘Collagen for the World’. Nizona Marine Products (NMP) has been created in India by a strong parent company Nizona Corporation in Japan. History and experience of Nizona Japan in doing OEM business of marine collagen peptide in various forms and formulations helped in backward integration and initiate the business of raw materials for marine collagen. What does NMP do? NMP supplies a large number of dried fish scales every month as raw material to major collagen peptide producers globally and also specializes in the production of Ossein and Collagen peptide due to its ability to source collagen raw materials abundantly. Summary: NMP aims to touch both the ends of the spectrum and offer below products: 1) Dry fish scales & skin raw materials 2) De-mineralized fish scales (Ossein) 3) Collagen peptide (Brand:IKIGEN) NMP creates ‘Best out of Waste’ by up-cycling tons of fish scales and skin, which otherwise were a concern for fish processing industries. Collagen peptide derived from scales and skin of fish has better bioavailability. Marine collagen doesn’t pose any health scares like bird flu, foot, and mouth disease. Socio-Economic Cause Fishermen who cultivate Rohu, Katla and Carp fish in freshwater usually sell the fish but discard the scales haphazardly, thus causing smelly litter as they are not aware of the potential of ‘up-cycling’ this waste! NMP has assured business generation for the fishermen community in India and today it works in tandem with governmental aquaculture organizations. NMP has helped generate thousands of jobs. It has also indirectly impacted the National Cleanliness Mission – ‘Swacchhata Abhiyaan’ started by the honourable Prime Minister of India and ‘The Blue Revolution’

  • Understanding Gelatin Bloom Strength in simple terms Bloom strength is a measure of how firm or strong gelatin is after it cools down or sets into a gel. It’s like testing how much weight or pressure is needed to press into a gelatin sample. A higher bloom strength means the gelatin is firmer, while a lower bloom strength means it's softer. Higher bloom strength (stronger gelatin) is often used for harder products like capsules, while lower bloom strength makes for softer, more flexible items like gummies, candies, marshmallows. Why Does Bloom Strength Matter?  This Gelatin measurement is essential for various applications as bloom strength directly affects the product’s texture, firmness, and even its creaminess of the gel. It is mainly related to the viscosity of the gelatin. Viscosity impacts the final product's texture and creaminess, playing a crucial role in both food and pharmaceutical industries. Key Categories of Bloom Strength: 1. Low Bloom Gelatin (50–180 Bloom): Since little time goes into making it, this type is softer and comes from the early stages of the gelatin-making process. It's perfect for items that require more flexibility, like certain types of candies and desserts. 2. Medium Bloom Gelatin (180–220 Bloom): Typically used in food applications, this category provides a balanced firmness ideal for products like gelatin desserts and some dairy products. 3. High Bloom Gelatin (220–320 Bloom): This firmer gelatin is used to make hard capsules or create strong, transparent gels in pharmaceuticals and other industries. #gelatin #collagen #protein #bovinegelatin #bloom #bloomshtrength #gelly #food #viscocity #foodgrade

Collagen is a protein that plays a vital role in various aspects of health, particularly in the context of active ageing, muscle recovery, immune support, and joint health. Active Aging: Collagen can be beneficial for active ageing by promoting the maintenance of muscle mass and overall muscle function. As we age, our body's natural collagen production decreases, which can impact muscle health. Muscle Recovery: Collagen can aid in muscle recovery after physical activity. It contains specific amino acids, such as glycine and proline, which are important for tissue repair and can help reduce muscle soreness and improve overall recovery time. Immunity Support: While collagen is not typically associated with direct immune support, it does play a role in maintaining the integrity of the gut lining. A healthy gut barrier is important for overall health, as it can influence immune function and the absorption of nutrients. Joint Health: Collagen is a key component of cartilage, which cushions and supports our joints. Collagen can contribute to active ageing by supporting muscle health, aiding in muscle recovery, maintaining a healthy gut, and promoting joint health. Supplementing with collagen may help support overall well-being and can indirectly support immune function.

Adequate intake of essential amino acids is necessary for overall health and well-being, and a balanced diet rich in protein-rich foods and/or taking a supplement can provide the necessary amino acids. IKIGEN Collagen's top six main amino acids play various roles. 🔹Alanine, known as the precursor for synthesizing neurotransmitter GABA, is used as a source of energy, helps in the production and metabolism of glucose, and acts as a transporter of nitrogen between tissues. 🔹 Arginine, the semi-essential amino acid, which can be produced by the body and not in sufficient amounts, it plays a key role in the production of nitric oxide, and in the physiological processes. Arginine also helps in wound healing and is beneficial in the treatment of certain medical conditions. 🔹 Glutamic/Glutamate acid is a non-essential acid, which works as a neurotransmitter, it plays an important role in the regulation of certain brain activities including memory and learning. Glutamic works as a precursor for the synthesis of other amino acids, it also works as an energy source of cells and helps to protect the cells, and it also helps in the functioning of kidneys, pancreas, and liver. 🔹 Proline, which is the key component of Collagen helps in the maintenance of connective tissues, structural integrity of cells, and functioning of joints and also helps to prevent damage caused by environmental stressors. Proline is also involved in the detoxification process in the liver. Like glutamic, proline is also a non-essential amino acid but isn’t produced sufficiently. 🔹Hydroxyproline the modified form of proline, plays a crucial role in the structure and stability of collagen. Hydroxyproline is essential for the proper formation and maintenance of collagen fibres. It also plays an important role in repairing damaged or injured connective tissue. Hydroxyproline also helps the structural integrity of cells. 🔹 Glycine is a non-essential amino acid, its main function is the formation and maintenance of connective tissues, it also helps in the production of other important molecules, it is also involved in the regulation of glucose metabolism, also acts as a neurotransmitter. Glycine also has anti-inflammatory properties, which help to reduce inflammation in the body.

Fish collagen peptides, particularly the Type I & III found in IKIGEN, are sourced and processed to ensure the highest purity. This refinement removes any potential fishy taste or odour commonly associated with marine-based products. The meticulous hydrolysis process breaks down the collagen into smaller, more digestible peptides, which not only enhances its absorption but also minimizes any lingering fish taste or smell. Consequently, consumers can enjoy the benefits of collagen without experiencing the typical fish-related sensory aspects often associated with marine collagen products. -Fish Collagen Peptide -Hydrolyzed Type I & III Collagen -Fish collagen peptide(Bulk)Powdered & Granulated -No additives and No Preservatives  -No Fat and Non-GMO
