Have you experienced the pain in looking for the best talent to creating your new video? Often, it’s not just about hiring a videographer or editor—it’s about finding someone who truly understands the project’s unique essence. And let’s face it, not all talents are suited for every type of work. With more than thousands of content creators- each with their own unique skillset, it can be difficult to pick the best suited team for your project. In our experience, we’ve seen firsthand how mismatched talent can impact a project’s outcome. The problem? It’s hard for clients to know who to hire when every project has its nuances. A brand campaign demands a different skill set from, say, a commercial shoot to launch a new product, to a corporate film to celebrate the company's success story. These nuances in requirement may affect the overall quality of the film if there's a talent/team mismatch to a certain kind of project. What to look out for, when hiring the talent? Step 1: Identify the genre under which your video falls. (For eg. Real estate, company culture, large scale event, a startup conference, food and beverages) Step 2: Each of these genres would require a specific skillset and equipment for the project. Research on the kind of crew and equipment would be needed beforehand, so you are aware of their portfolios when hiring. Step 3: Make sure the hired talent has a good grasp of the project in the interview by asking questions like "Besides shooting/editing what other services will i require to complete this project?" (Scripting, storyboarding, animation, etc) "What additional equipment/crew will you be using?" (For eg. for a real estate film, make sure we have a drone in the list, an FPV or a 360 cam would be great too) "Can you explain your workflow while coming on board this project?" (This is to check if they are confident in pulling off the project) "Can you share some previous work samples that can give us an idea of the final outcome?" (This would help you understand their vision of the project outcome, and also sets expectations in terms of quality you can expect) These initial questions can certainly help you in identifying the talent's base knowledge. #NJMProductions #NJMBuild #CreativeIndustry #ContentCreation #ProblemSolving

It's so amazing to understand and learn the larger impact of projects we work on at NJM Productions, one such being the #powerofAI by Microsoft. It's crazy to imagine the incredible power data has when utilized correctly. It's a prouder moment when you see an India story, watching some brilliant minds come together to create unthinkable solutions to problems that affect you and me. But an even prouder moment for me was watching #teamnjm step it up, learn so much, and grow as a team through this one. When I think back, I can still visualize Vrushali Deshmukh's storyboards coming alive with a frame-by-frame breakdown, and I see it beautifully replicated in the final product! Despite the many hurdles like any other production, the learning has simply been immense, and every moment was worth it. Nikhil Mehta held the ship together, like he always does, and poured so much belief into every single person on the team that they all out-performed, again! That might just be the secret formula to taking things to the next level, and yet so simple - belief!

My current favorite part about the job I do is to get as much time as we can with a brief, bouncing around ideas with a whole lot of creative folk, and putting out work that we're proud of. Of course, the favorite part keeps changing, and quite naturally, most times, the team is what's most exciting. Here's one such film, where the people made all the difference from the beginning. Grateful to have clients like Sanspareils Greenlands (SG Cricket) that give us a tremendous amount of creative freedom. We got the chance to start with a blank slate and build it up! Vrushali Deshmukh, Nikhil Mehta, and I will look for any excuse to creatively brainstorm, but add Preshanth P. Selvam to the mix and we're taking things a notch up! It's not often through our busy work schedules we get to shut off and tune in to create together. It's extremely gratifying and helps fill our cups for a while. From concept building to production to execution, the learning was immense as we built "Wear your change" together! It takes an army and more and we're forever grateful for our amazing production crew and post-production team, without whom there is no end product. Our rock with managing the show has so often been, Ajeeth Kumar and his team, whose calmness and composure can get us through anything. Excitingly, we also had Supriya Jambunathan, our newest entrant into NJM Productions debut her voice for us, and Sreerag CS impressed us with his editing skills! While we put this video behind us, we celebrate the many firsts and move on to the next, hopeful of it being just as fulfilling!
