Proud to have been a panelist at the ZERO SUMMIT hosted by PHDCCI Delhi, where we explored how green infrastructure and sustainable practices are transforming the built environment and accelerating the journey toward net-zero goals. As the Founder & CEO of Noesis Capital Advisors, I shared how forward-thinking hotels are leveraging sustainability not just as an environmental commitment but as a smart business strategy to enhance profitability: Energy-efficient operations are enabling significant reductions in HLP costs, which typically represent 8–12% of a hotel’s topline. Well-planned air conditioning and MEP systems, integrated with green initiatives, can drive up to 3% savings on HLP, directly boosting the bottom line. By sourcing solar power through PPAs at around ₹8.5/unit, compared to grid electricity rates of ₹10–₹15/unit, hotels are achieving remarkable operational cost savings and substantially lowering their carbon footprints. When sustainability and profitability blend seamlessly, the scale and pace of execution increase multifold. Hotels that adopt these initiatives aren’t just reducing costs—they’re setting benchmarks for long-term competitiveness, operational efficiency and environmental stewardship.
