Building on Our Green Legacy, #ONGC takes a bold step toward a sustainable future with the launch of electric buses in Mumbai! 🚍⚡ In line with India’s #NetZero 2070 goal, ONGC is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2038. Our Mumbai Regional Office proudly flagged off two 35-seater electric buses with a 300 km range for eco-friendly staff commutes between Panvel and Bandra. 🌏 Each bus will prevent ~23 Metric Tonnes of CO₂ annually, a testament to ONGC’s mission to reduce carbon footprints. The initiative, inaugurated by ONGC Chairman Arun Kumar Singh , along with Director (T&FS) Om Prakash Singh & Director (Production) Pankaj Kumar strengthens our dedication to a greener tomorrow. 🌱 From deploying 70 electric vehicles to introducing these buses, ONGC continues to lead India’s energy transition with innovation and sustainability. On 25 November 2024, #WesternNavalCommand successfully executed the bi-annual Exercise Prasthan at the ONGC ICP platform, a vital exercise aimed at assessing coordinated responses to potential contingencies in the offshore development area (ODA). The drill tested responses to critical scenarios including H2S leaks, oil spills, emergency shutdowns, terrorist intrusions, bomb threats from suspected IEDs, uncontrolled fires on platforms, mass CASEVAC/muster stations, loss of control of offshore support vessels (OSV), and loss of communication and control with helicopters leading to ditching. Involving a broad spectrum of stakeholders, the exercise saw participation from #IndiannavyMedia / Indian Navy , Indian Air Force, INDIAN COAST GUARD , #DirectorGeneralofShipping , Mumbai Port Trust , JN Port Mumbai , #DefencProMumbai , #Maharashtrapolice , Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (Mpcb) , Mercantile Marine Department, #DepartmentOfFisheries , #CBIC , and Indian Meteorological Department.
