By 2025, India aims to achieve universal Foundational Literacy and Numeracy in primary schools. As we partner with the government on this mission, our teachers have a great deal to say about the innovative 'Math Toolkit' which has been making math fun for their students and teaching easier for them. The toolkit incorporates pictorial elements into instruction, thereby fostering a dynamic and interactive learning environment. The math toolkit cards are also complemented by a math wall, using toolkit materials. Today, as we celebrate the birth anniversary of India’s math wizard, Srinivasa Ramanujan, join us in our mission to make every child in India numerate and foundationally strong in mathematics. The NEP 2020 states that the highest priority of the education system will be to achieve universal Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) in primary schools by 2025. Peepul has partnered with the government in this mission to achieve FLN goals and a unique contribution towards this has been the ‘Math Toolkit’ based on NIPUN Bharat and NCF guidelines. The toolkit is an effort towards making math less intimidating for students and more engaging for teachers to teach. Under our Deeper Intervention Programme, a team of engineers from Apraava Energy recently visited CM RISE Schools in Seoni Malwa and Ashta in Madhya Pradesh.    The team of engineers interacted with students, showcasing the current innovations and discussing the future of renewable energy. We’re excited to share that Peepul recently participated in the flagship 'Summit Day' 2024 of 100x Impact Accelerator, a global social impact accelerator based at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). As part of the 2024 cohort of social ventures, Peepul joined ten other organisations to present innovative solutions, achievements, and opportunities for transformative change to a curated community of funders, experts, and policymakers. During the summit, Kruti Bharucha, our Founder and CEO, highlighted a personal journey in her pitch. She shared how raising her own child revealed significant gaps in the school system. This experience further fueled her and the team’s passion for addressing the learning crisis affecting our public education system in India.
