#Safmannan® preserves #gut function and #optimizes #coccidiosis #vaccine response Enhanced coccidiosis vaccine response and growth performance In 2021, a 35-day trial was conducted in France, to investigate the effects of Safmannan® on broilers vaccinated with a coccidiosis vaccine. 1 200 Ross 308 broilers were randomly divided into 3 groups. 2 groups were vaccinated with a coccidiosis vaccine at D1. A 3rd group was supplemented with an anticoccidial. One of the 2 vaccinated groups was supplemented with Safmannan® (250 g/t in starter and finisher feeds and 500 g/t in grower feed). As precocious lines of Eimeria are used in the vaccine, the birds in Vaccine and Safmannan® groups reached Oocyst excretion peak 4 days earlier than the ionophore group (D17 vs D21). Furthermore, this study showed that adding Safmannan® in birds’ diet can mitigate the side effect of the coccidiosis vaccine on broilers growth. The birds in Safmannan® group have significant greater final body weight than the ones in Vaccine group (p < 0.001). #safmannan #performance #resilience #Benefits #sustainability

#Safmannan® reduces #Salmonella risk and enhances food #safety Successful large-scale field experience In 2021, a large-scale field trial was carried out in the US on 9 different broiler farms, during 4 consecutive cycles. During the first cycle, birds were given a probiotic and an inactivated yeast. From the second cycle, Safmannan® was added in the birds’ diet at 500 g/t in starter and finisher feed and 250 g/t in grower feed. Analysis of cecal samples showed a significant decrease of 2.3 log10 CFU in the second cycle with Safmannan®, compared to the first cycle with probiotic and inactivated yeast. This reduction continued in the following cycles with Safmannan®, reaching an average of only 0.29 log10 CFU of Salmonella load in birds’ ceca across the 9 farms #safmannan #Benefits #performance #sustainability #resilience
