Expanding our understanding of mental health issues and wellness to incorporate mental fitness empowers us to live a purposeful life. With the background of World Mental Health Day on October 10, Principal Global Services hosted a transformative Yoga session for its employees, reiterating the message that a healthy mind is a productive mind. Led by the guru Sonali Lodam (founder Shambhavi Yogashrama), the session centered on asanas that support stress management, mental calmness, posture correction, and overall healing and relief. Our employees wholeheartedly embraced this opportunity, walking away refreshed and rejuvenated, rating the session as ‘awesome’ and ‘ transformative!’   This session was a reminder of our commitment to a workplace that supports well-being for our employees. Principal Global Services (PGS) celebrated Indoor Sports Week 2024 recently and brought together employees from across the business areas in India to engage in exciting sports activities. Employees enjoyed participating in competitions for games of badminton, table tennis, carom, foosball, and chess. It was thrilling to see the participants in action as the games played out with teamwork, gaming strategies, and building connections. From intense matches to moments of shared laughter - the sports week was a reminder of the spirit of healthy and friendly competition. The event culminated into a much-awaited award ceremony, wherein winners received their awards amidst applause of their peers and colleagues. It was so great to welcome Kathy Kay, executive vice president and CIO of Principal Financial Group, to our India offices. During her visit to Hyderabad, Kathy visited Technology Hub (T-Hub), which is an innovation hub that supports startups and entrepreneurs in India. When in Pune, she joined Madhavi Dahanukar (She/Her), Vice President, Principal Global Services in leading a transformative session on The Power of Authentic Leadership under the enablHER initiative. Kathy’s views on leadership, coupled with Madhavi's insightful experience-sharing, offered a compelling dialogue on the importance of strong, authentic leadership at all levels. Kathy conducted a Technology Leaders meeting with leaders from enterprise technology and business to reiterate on the focus areas for the organization and bring in better alignment on key initiatives and the roadmap for 2025. She also addressed the participants of the E.D.G.E Program (a learning intervention for senior leaders). Speaking on strategic thinking, she shared experiences from her professional journey. Finally, Kathy hosted a Technology town hall at Pune and Hyderabad, during which she shared key leadership lessons and important updates on enterprise developments. She was joined by Basab Bandyopadhyay, head of enterprise technology at Principal Global Services, who contributed his perspective on the company’s technology strategy and how it aligns with our enterprise goals.
