🔆 Launching the Queer Data Fellowship! 🔆 Data runs the (development) world! As world-shifting decisions are being made based on data, programs and welfare schemes are leaving more marginalized communities behind because of the lack of adequate data that focuses on their unique needs and challenges. Queer data is more vital now than ever to drive the design of equitable policies and development programs and to ensure that no one gets left behind. The queer community in India has largely remained invisible in mainstream data collection. Whether this happens by reducing queer issues to an urban phenomenon or an institutional rejection of the spectrum and variation in gender identity and sexual orientation, it is high time we make evidence visible. This pride month, let's take a step towards LGBTQIA+ justice by making queer data more accessible and development interventions truly inclusive. If you are passionate about driving queer inclusion in development and public programs by plugging data gaps and making gender identity and sexual orientation-disaggregated data more easily accessible, then we highly recommend applying to The Queer Data Fellowship by Belongg and Qonnect. Do these apps not address your unique needs, or are not accessible to begin with? Belongg invites you to join the Inclusive Tech User Research Panel and contribute to making more inclusive apps and tech products through programs such as the Inclusive Product Management Fellowship (IPMF). This pioneering initiative aims to make tech products more inclusive with a special focus on marginalized user groups (in terms of gender, disability, LGBTQIA+, and other socio-cultural dimensions of identity). We're assembling a select group of users for our Inclusive Tech User Research Panel, where your insights will directly influence product features for leading product companies in India.
