The representation of women in Global Capability Centres (GCCs) in India is on the rise, with an encouraging increase from 26.6% in FY20 to 30% in FY24. However, there’s still a steep climb ahead, especially in leadership roles where women occupy only 6.7% of executive positions. Here’s how we can change that: 📃 Enhance Work-Life Balance & Career Support Work-life balance is crucial. Flexible working arrangements, such as remote work, flexible hours, and robust parental leave policies, can significantly reduce female attrition rates in mid and senior roles. 📃 Address the Skills Gap Women returning to tech after career breaks often face a skills gap. Let’s create targeted upskilling and reskilling programs to ensure they stay current with rapid technological advancements. Continuous learning opportunities are key! 📃 Shift Cultural Norms Cultural expectations and societal norms still place additional pressures on women. By promoting an inclusive workplace culture and challenging traditional gender roles, we can create a more supportive environment for all. 📃 Retention and Development Programs Mentorship is powerful. Connecting women with successful female role models can provide invaluable guidance and support. Additionally, initiatives to build confidence and leadership skills will prepare women for higher positions. 📃 Focus on Career Development Advocate for policies that support both work-life balance and career advancement. Continuous learning and upskilling should be integral to career development initiatives to help women progress and thrive. 📃 Collaborate and Share Best Practices Let’s work together! Collaborating with other companies and industry groups to share best practices can help us develop comprehensive strategies for promoting gender diversity in tech.

AI implementation is expanding on a wider scale, and it is about time it is embraced by diverse industries. This shift will significantly enhance AI’s innovation capabilities. However, this advancement will create a demand for specialized talent capable of applying AI in various sectors. It will require a combination of AI expertise and industry experience, which will be challenging to meet due to the novelty of this transformation. The resulting talent crunch will be a significant obstacle for industries. To address this, they will need market intelligence as well as dedicated training programs to develop the required talent. This challenge calls for collaboration between academia, industry, and government at multiple levels. Without such synergy, efforts may result in empty promises rather than meaningful progress.

𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆, 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗼-𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁! 𝗔𝘀 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀. If you’d like to participate in the contest, here’s the link where you can submit your portfolio: [https://2ly.link/24iFC] It all started with me personally reviewing many designers’ portfolios. As I explored their work, I began questioning—why are portfolios so important? As our recruiter put it: "𝘈𝘯𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘦, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘢 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘰." Here are some key insights from HR professionals and designers on what makes a portfolio stand out: 𝗛𝗼𝗼𝗸 I’ve seen portfolios that immediately make me want to scroll through them. The question is—does your portfolio feel worthy of being explored? That’s exactly what Ankush Munjal’s and Krutarthsinh Chauhan's portfolios achieve. 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 Sriyansi Singh’s portfolio caught my attention with the phrase: "A teacher who found her canvas in design." She even shares a Medium blog about her journey in designing a multi-purpose reminder device. 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 Your work’s impact should be immediately clear. Archit Jain and Mahmadzuned Sheikh have done this exceptionally well in their portfolios. Shabeena A. takes it a step further by creatively displaying her design process for a particular project. Nitheesh RS sets a great example of how a case study should be structured. His portfolio includes all the essential elements—design process, user flow diagrams, and more. While these might not be new concepts, the clarity and ease of consumption make his case studies stand out. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 Viranchi Ancharwadkar and Krutarthsinh Chauhan have portfolios where nothing feels static. Everything feels alive and engaging, making them fun to interact with and capable of holding attention. As someone without a design background, here are some of the practices I found extremely coooool which is some designers have a unique theme throughout their portfolio. Avijit Chakraborty incorporates a space-themed visual style. Sakshi S. embraces simplicity, clarity, and impact. Rishi Dhakad presents everything from the perspective of a true Mumbaikar, making his portfolio feel personal and authentic. As there were many other designers, I will feature them in my next post, as my learning journey continues.

What’s 𝗤𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗮’𝘀 mission? We’re letting the team decide! Instead of a boring boardroom debate, we handed everyone sticky notes and said, "𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘂𝘀!" Now, we’ve got a jar overflowing with ideas, some inspiring, some hilarious, and at least one that probably says “Free snacks every Friday” (respect). But here’s the kicker, the 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 wins a 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁! 🎁 So, if you see your teammates deep in thought, they’re not daydreaming, they’re plotting their way to victory. A company’s mission should come from the 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 who make it what it is, and we can’t wait to see what our team comes up with. Job hunting shouldn’t feel harder than the job itself. Yet, so many candidates hit ‘submit’ and hear nothing back. At Qrata, we combine AI-driven insights with a human-first approach to go beyond resumes, matching the right talent with the right teams, faster and smarter. Because hiring should be about people, not just paperwork. Let’s rethink how we hire! ❤️ What’s been your experience with job searches? Comment down below

Why is getting hired harder than the actual job? You spend hours updating your resume, writing cover letters specific to each job that may never be read, and filling out applications that require you to enter every detail already on your resume. Then, you hit “submit” and… nothing. Did your resume get stuck in the ATS black hole? Did a recruiter glance at it for 6 seconds? Is it one of those "always posted" jobs that isn't really hiring? The hiring process can feel endless and broken. Candidates jump through hoops—multiple interviews, personality tests, skills tests—only to be ghosted in the end. Meanwhile, many companies are overwhelmed with applications but say they “can’t find good talent.” Maybe it’s time to rethink how we hire. More human connection. Less automation. More conversation. Because behind every application is a real person. What’s been your experience with a job search? #outsidetheboxhiring #beyondtheresume #personoverpaper

Early-stage hiring isn’t just about the startup, it’s about the 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿. Top talent joins a mission they believe in, but more importantly, they join a leader they trust. As a founder, how you present yourself can be the difference between attracting A-players or losing them to the competition. Your 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 isn’t just a 𝗯𝘂𝘇𝘇𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱, it’s what makes people excited to build with you. So, what do top candidates really look for in a founder? 🤔 Drop a comment with your thoughts or DM us to learn how Qrata helps founders build winning teams! 🚀 #Hiring #StartupGrowth #FounderBranding #EarlyStageStartups #Qrata

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗱-𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 "Startups are only as good as their founders." At the seed stage, people don’t just join a company—they join the founder. That is why I would like founders to understand that your personal brand matters more than the startup’s name or product. As Indians, we connect with people rather than ideas. This makes the way you present yourself the single biggest factor in attracting top talent. I’ve seen this play out over and over again. 𝗦𝗼, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿? It’s the story you tell—the one that gets people excited to join your mission and make it their own. There’s no perfect formula for this, but the best candidates will always ask themselves a few key questions before deciding to work with you. If they don’t get the right answers, they’ll move on. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘄; some of those can be conveyed through an online presence and must be in sync across every source. But then, nothing beats a real conversation. There are certain aspects of branding that you have to communicate in person. The idea is to see candidates as VCs who are betting on you. Prepare yourself in advance. With every conversation, you will improve, as there might be aspects that, as a founder or as a human, you have no clue about (like the future), but always answer their questions with honesty—show rather than tell. At the end of the day, your personal brand as a founder is what makes or breaks early-stage hiring. Build it, own it, and use it to bring the right people on board. 🚀

When the 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 Challenges How You Think About Growth 🚀 Saturday was one of those days that made us pause and rethink everything. We had Senthil Pandian, Stanford Seed visit our office, and what started as a session on scaling quickly turned into a deep dive into 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵. Some key takeaways that stuck with us: 1) Scaling isn’t just about numbers, it’s about having a 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻. 2) No one person or team can solve the biggest challenges alone. We grow when we work 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲. 3) Tech is powerful, but it’s 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿. Execution, alignment, and strategy matter just as much. 4) Learning is best when it’s 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗳𝘂𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁-𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴, and this session was all of that and more. Huge thanks to the Senthil Pandian for sharing their insights and pushing us to think bigger. 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 💰 𝘃𝘀. 🚩 A few years ago, a candidate told us something that stuck: "𝗜 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘆, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗜 𝗹𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲." And honestly, we hear this way too often. Sure, compensation matters. But at the end of the day, 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀 whether you 𝘸𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘶𝘱 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘥 to work or spend your days 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬𝘦𝘯𝘥. A great work culture makes you feel valued, trusted, and supported. Feedback isn’t just about pointing out mistakes, it helps you grow. Mental health isn’t an afterthought. Hard work gets recognized, not just expected. You work with the company, not just for it. In a toxic work culture, things look very different. Overtime becomes proof of “commitment.” Creativity takes a backseat to control. Micromanagement kills any sense of ownership. And people often check out mentally long before they actually quit. At Qrata, we don’t just match talent with startups—we help build teams that thrive. Because hiring is just the beginning. Keeping talent engaged, respected, and fulfilled is what leads to long-term success. So, real talk—would you take a higher salary in a bad work culture or a lower salary in a great one? Let’s hear your thoughts. 👇 #WorkCulture #HiringRight #LifeAtQrata #WorkCultureMatters #HiringForSuccess #TalentRetention #EmployeeExperience #GreatPlaceToWork #WorkplaceWellbeing #StartupHiring #CareerGrowth #FutureOfWork #CompanyCulture #HiringTrends #LeadershipDevelopment #BetterWorkplaces #EmployeeEngagement #ThrivingTeams
