Seid gespannt auf alles, was kommt. 🙌 Mehr Informationen unter: https://lnkd.in/e-ei6KJM #HAKRO #Teamwear #Unternehmensbekleidung #CorporateWear #WorkWear #HAKROCares #sogehtmorgen #nachhaltig #raddiscotton #raddissystem

  • ABOUT BIODIVERSITY CREDITS: ❇️"Transitioning from an extractive fossil-based to a regenerative economy powered by and prospering in harmony with nature is the defining challenge of our time – one that requires business buy-in and the deployment of financial capital to realise." 💚 #REthink your buying power and #enable your company to create multiple positive impacts, such as #biodiversity, within your own value chain! ✳️For example, Raddis® and it's back bone organisation Grameena Vikas Kendram Society for Rural Development are working with leaders across the fashion industry, creating scalable “proof of concept” natural value chains in India that blend agro-ecology, technology and indigenous knowledge to holistically regenerate landscapes and support communities. ✅Stay critical, build relationships and invest in projects that you can visit, follow-up during implementation and evaluate the impacts created over time. Regenerative farming is more than a technique. Our collaboration with RaddisCotton has contributed to nurturing the land thanks to the regenerative farming practices that contribute towards healthier soil and richer biodiversity. But that's not all. Niccy Kol told and showed us the beautiful story behind our new labels made with regenerative cotton by Raddis. It has also made a difference in the lives of farmers and their families, providing economic empowerment and sustainable futures. Meet Budara Krishnaveni - one of the 14 farmers that grow rain-fed regenerative cotton.🌾✨ Want to know more about our journey with regenerative cotton? International Day of Rural Women 2024 Today, we honour the incredible resilience, wisdom, and contributions of rural women, especially Indigenous women farmers who drive change through regenerative agriculture. These women are at the forefront of building climate resilience, conserving biodiversity, and promoting sustainable land use. By embracing regenerative farming practices, they not only nurture the soil but also safeguard our planet's future. At the heart of their efforts is a commitment to both nature and community. Through regenerative practices, Indigenous women farmers are restoring ecosystems while creating livelihoods and empowering themselves and others. Their work exemplifies how regenerative farming can lead to gender equality and economic growth in rural areas. As we celebrate this year’s theme, "Rural Women Sustaining Nature for Our Collective Future," let us stand in solidarity with these women and continue supporting their crucial efforts in building a sustainable and equitable future for all. | #internationaldayofruralwomen | #rural #women | #regenerative #agriculture | #indigenous #women | #climateresilience | #sustainable #farming | #genderequality | #ruraldevelopment | #raddiscotton | #gvksociety |

I am committed to expanding my knowledge and enjoy seeking opportunities to explore new ideas. Hence, I wanted to talk about a webinar I attended hosted by RaddisCotton on “How to Scale up Regenerative Cotton Sourcing”. 💡 With cotton being a commodity with a history of exploitation in the value chain and negative environmental impacts, I was curious how alternative agricultural practices and cotton value chain approaches can look in practice and the associated issues with their implementation. Here are some of my key insights: 🌾 Regenerative agriculture goes beyond just ensuring the sustainability of growing crops. Empowering the local Indigenous people and their ancient place-based knowledge is fundamental to regenerative agriculture. 🤝 A regenerative cotton value network requires suppliers, such as farmer families, to be on equal footing with buyers. Raddis approaches this through a multi-year collaboration system; brand partners sign up for it and pay fees upfront to enable the transformation from degenerative towards regenerative farm practices. Farmers are provided payment at the time of procurement by bank transfer for their cotton and are assured they have reliable buyers, encouraging consistent use of sustainable practices. Raddis can scale up regenerative farming in different areas through this approach with multiple brand partners. 🙆 Upscaling is not a smooth process, especially due to the various stakeholders involved in the network and ongoing legislative changes like the EU Green Deal. Open communication and commitment between all stakeholders is key to transform the commodity chain into a collaborative value network! • ❇️WHY is change needed in agriculture? ❇️HOW do we use #Cotton as our tool for the needed transformation? ❇️CONSIDER: Around 12,000 years ago, we began practicing agriculture, shifting from nomadic lifestyles to permanent settlements. Approximately 4,500 years ago, early insecticides, such as sulfur compounds, were first used. Fast forward to today, and in under a century, pesticide usage has skyrocketed to 4 billion tons annually! ❇️IT IS TIME: for policymakers, brands, retailers, consumers, and all stakeholders to make a change: true regenerative agriculture is part of that change! Do you want to know where to start? ❇️WATCH the replay of our webinar: “How to Scale up Regenerative Cotton Sourcing” - From tracing the roots of regenerative agriculture to evaluating the challenges and opportunities of scaling up regenerative cotton sourcing, the team at Raddis® Cotton gave their insight in collaboration with the Wageningen University & Research https://lnkd.in/ewJKMXJQ #regenerativeagriculture #responsiblesourcing #collaborativevaluenetwork #regenerativecotton
