As a part of our continued commitment to community development, REMI Group participated and helped Keshav Srushti setup a solar water pump in the village of Shele in the Wada district of Maharashtra. This project was executed under the Keshav Srushti Gram Vikas Yojna, to develop access of water to the farmers throughout the year. It will cover over 28 acres of land, benefitting more than 50 farmer families. The pump will reduce the famers’ dependence on rainwater and provide an additional source of irrigation post-monsoon for cultivation of new crops. This will help provide livelihood to the farmers and generate more employment among the local communities, which will reduce the need for migration to other villages. We remain committed to partnering with Keshav Srushti for more such projects to promote development of the locals in these rural areas.
