"Aapke boss ye allow krdenge?" Recently we got an E-Waste pickup request from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. It was from a PCB designing/manufacturing startup. They had almost a ton (1000 kg) of scrap Printed Circuit Boards, which they wanted to sell. Being an unregistered startup they were in need of money, so unlike large companies price mattered more to them than the government compliances. This was our first lead from outside Delhi NCR so we had to rush and try our best to help them connect with an authorized E-Waste recycler near them. I myself postponed everything else to deliver our promise of getting multiple deals at the earliest. Finally after hours of searching, calling, negotiating and then again searching we provided them the best possible deal from our end. "Sir here are the top 3 deals, now you don't need to get into the hassle of calling 10 recyclers. You can just compare prices across these 3 and finalize the deal.".... I said. "But sir hmara local kabadiwala(scrap dealer) toh isse 7k zyada de rha h".... he replied. I tried hard to convince him why selling E-Waste to local scrap dealers is against the government law and extremely harmful for the environment but all in vain. Finally I told him we will match the offer. As a matter of chance 7k was the exact amount that we were going to earn from this deal, but had to give up on that for the sake of our mission "Pr without any commission deal krna.....
