The RNisarg Foundation is dedicated to making Thane a more livable city for all its residents. One of its key initiatives, S-MILES (Safety for Miles), was launched in 2014 with the adoption of Pokharan Road 1. With ongoing metro development and other efforts to improve commuting in the city, RNisarg has teamed up with the Walking Project to encourage citizens to take ownership of their footpaths. Recently, a community walk was held from Cadbury Junction Metro Station to Bhramala Talao, promoting this cause. Remember: Citizens make cities.
