Last month, we attended the 49th Annual ISBTI Transcon 2024 in Ahmedabad, where experts in blood safety gathered to exchange ideas and discuss advancements that are shaping the future. It was an honor to connect with leaders like Dr Sangeeta Pathak, Dr. Paresh Vyas, Dr Atul Kulkarni, Dr. RAJESH SAWANT, Dolly Daniel, Dr. B. Latha, Dr. Tulika Chandra, Dr. Aseem Kumar Tiwari, Nidhi Bhatnagar and Rahul Katharia - leaders who are driving initiatives for access to safe blood across the country and underscoring the need for Nucleic Acid Testing (NAT) test blood. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Ruby Khan for sharing her inspiring experience in implementing the Nucleic Acid Testing (NAT) centralisation model in Madhya Pradesh. Her insights into overcoming challenges and building sustainable replicable solutions were truly motivating. Thrilled to share that the Roche Healthcare Consulting Team successfully facilitated a Lean Methodology Workshop as part of the Center of Excellence (COE) initiative between Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) and Roche Diagnostics India. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Sharath Kumar Rao, Pro Vice Chancellor - Health Sciences; Dr. Raviraja N Seetharam, Chief Operating Officer, Operations; and Dr. Ravindra Maradi, Head of the Biochemistry Department. This initiative brought together experts from MAHE and Roche to develop a robust framework for applying Lean Methodology in Laboratory Diagnostics.
