Safe Society and Desai Foundation jointly organized #BalHealthMela at two locations, focusing on comprehensive health checkups and awareness activities for children. A total of 2,388 children participated, benefiting from health checkups & engaging activities. 📍 Lucknow - Mateshwari Vidya Inter College, Belwa, Itonja Over 1,000 children from different schools participated enthusiastically. Expert doctors conducted checkups for pediatric, eye & general health concerns. Highlights included: ▪️ Awareness on anemia, menstrual hygiene, and mental health. ▪️ Activities on good touch-bad touch and gender equality. ▪️ Interactive stalls where children learned about nutritious fruits and vegetables through a unique ramp walk. ▪️ Singing, dancing and Zumba sessions added to the excitement. The event was graced by dignitaries like Dr. Devendra Sharma - Chairperson, #UttarPradesh #StateCommission for #ProtectionofChildRights, representatives from the #HealthDepartment, #MissionShakti & school authorities. 📍 Deoria - Ashok Intermediate College, Rampur Karkhana Children experienced a blend of fun and health benefits at this vibrant Mela. Yesterday, Safe Society, in partnership with the Desai Foundation, successfully organized a health camp at the #RajasthaniSlum. On 20th December 2024, Safe Society successfully organized a one-day training on #ChildRights and the #ChildProtectionSystem at Hotel Nai Sushma in Farenda block, Maharajganj district. This impactful session brought together 40 #children and #youth, including participants from the #nomadic #communities of Maharajganj and Siddharthnagar districts. The training aimed to equip them with the knowledge and tools to understand their rights and navigate the child protection system effectively. Through interactive discussions and activities, participants gained insights into how they can advocate for themselves and their peers, fostering a culture of awareness and resilience within their communities.
