In collaboration with Nestlé India, Project Vriddhi V was successfully launched in a new location in Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh. The inauguration event commenced with a village walkthrough, followed by an interactive session with community members from Ailkar and Karmanu villages. An interface meeting was held in the Kaithal district, Haryana, as part of the Crop Residue Management Project being implemented with support from Walmart Foundation to share the outcomes of project initiatives aimed at reducing stubble burning. Dr. Heera Lal, District Horticulture Officer; Dr. Satish Nara, Sub-Divisional Officer of Agriculture; Dr. Sajjan Mehra, ADO, Agriculture Engineering Department; Dr. Prashant Kaushik, Senior Scientist; and Dr. Sanjay, Scientist, from Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kaithal joined the interface meet. 110 community members from project intervention villages also participated. A similar meeting was held in Kurukshetra district, where the same project is currently underway. The officials shared about government programs available for farmers and encouraged them to adopt better agricultural practices. Several community members shared their experiences of using the super seeders to minimize stubble burning. The Crop Residue Management (CRM) project raises awareness and promotes the use of super seeder machines to help incorporate paddy residue into the soil, thus increasing soil fertility and boosting yields across 100 villages in Kurukshetra and Kaithal districts of Haryana. #cropresiduemanagement #nostubbleburning #farming #agriculturalrpoductivity #agriculture #Haryana #walmartIndiafoundation
