The gold standard of rides

About us

Shoffr is building the gold standard of rides. Because we’re tired of repeated cancellations, shabby cars, impolite drivers, unfriendly customer support - and still paying a bomb for it. We started Shoffr with the dual objectives of building a sustainable business + a great & reliable service that we’d love to use ourselves. We can’t really change Bangalore traffic, but we promise to make it more comfortable & peaceful for you! Our chauffeurs are friendly, don’t talk on the phone, and are incentivised on good behaviour. We also use BYD e6 electric SUVs that are comfortable, spacious, noiseless - and which help make Bangalore greener! We do airport transfers and hourly rentals in Bangalore, so if you need to get around this lovely city, try the Shoffr experience.

Building Shoffr - the gold standard of rides.

Now you can Shoffr to/from your session at Toit - or for anything for that matter :) Introducing 1 hour rentals at ₹500/hr, which unlocks more use cases for you to take a Shoffr and avoid the hassles of everyday commute. We've had too many requests for this, and hence are now experimenting with this 1 hour rental - it's available from now until 14th February. You can go anywhere within Bangalore city limits, and there's no restrictions on kilometres! Since this is an experiment, it would be great if you could try it out and let us know if the 1 hour rental adds value / is worth it or not - your feedback helps us build Shoffr in a way that delights and not just what we think might be good. And as always, thank you for your love and support ❤️

I have come across a lot of hate on social media regarding bangalore cab drivers especially in relation to cab scams, outsiders vs insiders issues, integrity issues, cultural supremacy etc. Infact, on some occasions I have experienced such odd incidents and formed biases of my own. While these incidents are stressful and often ppl choose to write about such experiences on various social media platforms quite vividly, it's not equally true for positive experiences. This can create a broad sentiment and can further widen the gap between different cultural groups. I would like to share an incident which helped me overcome some pre-conceived notions wrt bangalore cab experience and local cab drivers. I had booked a Shoffr cab to the airport for some relatives. The entire journey was pleasant and uneventful except that my relative had inadvertently dropped 2 ceremonial cash envelopes containing Rs 11k each from his jacket pocket. We realised this approx 30 mins after the ride had ended and contacted Mr Harish V, the cab driver, not very hopeful of recovering the money on account of pre-conceived notions about the local cab experiences. However, to our surprise and pleasure Mr Harish stopped his car in the middle of the highway on his way back to the cab depot, found the envelope, took my permission to count the cash, confirmed the amount in both the envelopes and deposited it at the depot office ! That too without any expectation for a return favour. In my experience this was one of the finest lessons in personal integrity i learnt from Mr Harish. A person working in a blue collared job with harsh work requirements and hours, effortlessly chose to return Rs 22,000 without a second thought !! This experience would act as a constant reminder and motivation to preserve integrity in all circumstances. Thanking Shoffr for the right training and culture. #bangalore Cabs #shoffr

Building Shoffr - the gold standard of rides.

I'm looking to hire non-tech freshers in Bangalore to join our Customer Experience (CX) team. Your educational background and experience doesn't matter, but written and spoken fluency in English is a must. As is your willingness to learn and work hard. The role is based out of our office in Indiranagar, Bangalore - and the initial salary will be up to 50k per month. Given Shoffr's focus on experience, this is an opportunity to join a critical team at a start-up that's building one of India's most loved brands. You will have the chance to work closely with founders + grow with the company. If this excites you, please send an e-mail to careers@shoffr.in with your CV and a short note on why you want to work at Shoffr.

Building Shoffr - the gold standard of rides.

After almost 2 years since we launched, the Shoffr website and app finally have a look, feel, and user experience that matches the offline experience we’re known for! I know it’s been long pending, and a lot of you have asked us (some, many times 😅) when this will happen - I’m super excited to finally announce the launch of our new UX! This has been built over the past 3 months by 1 designer Aaryam, 1 developer Mohammed, and Kislay. As always, please check it out and do share all your feedback and suggestions. Next up will be building out a native app for iOS and Android. To those curious, the reason why we didn’t do it for the first 15 months of our existence was simple - prioritisation of limited resources. I have always appreciated aesthetics and good/thoughtful design, whether it’s digital or physical. But as dismayed I was by how our website/app was, Kislay and I just couldn’t justify paying a few lakhs to get it developed - and neither had the chops to do it ourselves. I’m still amazed that despite the basic-ness of our “product”, thousands of people used and reused it to book our services for many many months. It wasn’t mind-blowing, but it was functional and that was enough since the core offline service was exceptional. Perhaps this is a lesson to all founders/entrepreneurs including myself - if you have limited resources, focus on the things that matter most, irrespective of what others are doing.

🛑 Not a paid promotion🛑 I tried Shoffr for the first time yesterday and damn, that hits differently! The car was spotless, and the driver’s etiquette were on point. How to #startup in a crowded market, the secret sauce is pretty simple: just do things better. #Shoffr nailed it and after this, I’m not going back to the other services. As a woman, safety is my #1 priority, and Shoffr has that covered—from the booking process to the trained drivers. And honestly, it’s not even that much more expensive, just like ₹100-₹200 more than the usual. Huge shoutout to Vikas Bardia, CFA and Kislay Verma! Can't wait for my next ride with Shoffr. 🚗👌 #Bangalore #EV

Had a fantastic cab hailing experience with Shoffr in Bengaluru! Enjoyed an extremely comfortable ride in their BYD EV with their most courteous and accommodating chauffeur Basavaraj. Impressed by Shoffr’s attention to detail from the founder Vikas Bardia, CFA’s personal involvement in the ops to the water bottles and pulse candies carefully stashed for the commuters. Kudos to the whole Shoffr team! 🚗🌟 #Shoffr #Bengaluru #CabService #ExcellentExperience

Noticed a car from my office window with the sticker of Shoffr. It looked fancy to me. A black car with golden sticker portrayed luxury. The first thought was, hmmm must be expensive? 💰 To that my manager mentioned he availed their services from airport to HSR for just 1200. That's the standard price here in Bengaluru. They use a BYD e6 car, which is quite a big car to accommodate luggages comfortably. Essentially, the idea of renting out cars isn't different. But Shoffr has made a difference with the implementation of the concept. 70% of their customers are repeat customers. Which is an amazing number given that they do not have a very distributed market as of yet. How are they standing out? - Enriched customer experience, with additional wait time, water bottles and drivers wearing uniforms. - Targeting a very niche segment of customers who seek better experience and convenience. - All their cars are electric, which is something we all are conscious about nowadays. - They also have car rental service for events, which is a great market in itself. It's incredible how same concepts can be implemented again and again with just the execution being different. Here's a random image I found on the internet cuz I did not click a photo from my office window 😂

I frequently interact with transport and fleet organizations, and it's heartening to see their focus on driver well-being. Recently, during a drive with Shoffr, I interacted with their driver and was deeply impressed with the company's approach towards their driver community. Timely payments, monitored work hours, having good vehicles, and employing drivers directly on their payroll were some of the learning during my chats with their drivers. What truly stood out was the additional support beyond - progressing them to office jobs, education fees for children, advance payments, etc. I am sure there may be more if the company considers drivers as an integral part of their business. Vikas, Kudos to you and your leadership team at Shoffr. Your drivers genuinely appreciate the way you engage with them in the office too. I hope other fleet and transport leaders adopt similar practices. This will undoubtedly elevate the status of this profession over time. #driver #roadsafety

One of the biggest issue when booking a cab from Ola, Uber or NammaYatri is to find a vehicle with free boot space (basically a non-cng car). Even Prime Sedans, which are supposed to be “comfy”, have CNG cylinder in their boot. To avoid cancellation charges, you end up keeping your suitcases on the backseat or on the front seat (or worst case on your lap 😓)which is a huge safety risk, and ofcourse “uncomfy”. Irony is that even airport pickup/drop vehicles cannot fit a single suitcase in their boot. You are forced to book an XL or an electric (BluSmart, CabE) which has a huge wait time at the airport if not scheduled. Shoffr is a great alternative when in Bangalore offering comfortable rides and huge boot space at affordable rates. Ofcourse it’s electric, but it has a very little wait time. And as a bonus, they offer all passengers free water bottles and Pulse toffees. 🤷🏻
