Last week, we, at India’s first venture capital school by SkillsOn, conducted our third module “The Venture Capital Engine” with a fresh, never-before attempted presentation style. We went through a sample pitch deck step-by-step taking notes along with the attendees.   The result? We understood exactly how India’s leading funds evaluate sectors and companies, we understood exactly how India’s leading funds conduct research beyond Google to get high-quality inputs, how they draw razor-sharp conclusions and decipher hidden stories in company financials. All with the backdrop of a real-world case. And yes, expanded on our signature Alpha Doc that speaks of valuation multiples. The session received much appreciation not only for the content but also for the way it was taught. After a power-packed session on Venture Basics, we moved on to the second module of the VC masterclass this weekend, at India's 1st venture capital school. We set the ground running with a thorough overview of the deal flow - stages, steps, skills and a real-world case. And as with every module of ours, a signature offering - this time it was the "Alpha Doc" - a one-stop guide to set valuation multiples for companies. Here, we will discuss how India’s leading funds evaluate sectors and companies, covering every aspect in thorough detail – conducting research beyond Google, getting high-quality inputs, putting them together for drawing razor-sharp conclusions and deciphering hidden stories in company financials.
