This Week’s Must-Know Corporate Sustainability News ✅ 1️⃣ Waaree Group has launched a new subsidiary, Waaree Renewable Energies Australia PTY Ltd, to expand its renewable energy business in Australia, incorporated on December 6, 2024, as per a BSE filing. 2️⃣ Gensol Engineering Limited has bagged a ₹88 crore contract for a 22 MW ground-mounted solar project in Punjab for a leading steel maker. This project will be completed in 6 months, featuring high-efficiency bifacial modules. 3️⃣ Inox Wind Ltd. has secured a 60 MW wind turbine order from Serentica Renewables for a hybrid energy project in Karnataka. The 3 MW turbines will be delivered within the 1st half of 2025 and Inox Wind will also provide long-term maintenance. The generated power will be supplied to Serentica’s partners, including the Vedanta Group. 4️⃣ GREW, a solar module manufacturing firm, will supply 500 MW modules for Jindal Renewables' upcoming solar power project in Rajasthan. 5️⃣ NSE-listed Oriana Power on Monday said that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Rajasthan government to invest Rs 10,000 crore for installing multiple projects encompassing solar, floating solar, green hydrogen, and energy storage solutions. Key Achievements Under PM Suryaghar Scheme 🎖️ Uttarakhand achieved an impressive milestone by installing solar systems in 10,252 homes – 3 months ahead of schedule! Subsidies provided by the government ⬇️ 📌 INR 17,000 per kWh subsidy from the State Government 📌 INR 28,600 per kWh subsidy from the Central Government Of the 10,252 installations, approximately 2,600 beneficiaries have already received subsidies from both the central and State governments.
