Job Description: Area Sales Manager (ASM) for General Trade Position: Area Sales Manager (ASM) - General Trade (3 Position) Department: Sales Location: Hyderabad Job Summary: The Area Sales Manager (ASM) for General Trade is responsible for managing sales operations and driving business growth within a designated geographical area. This role involves overseeing a team of sales representatives, developing strategic sales plans, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets and market penetration in the general trade sector. Key Responsibilities: 1.Sales Management: - Building a strong relationship with distributors. -Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and objectives for the assigned area. -Monitor sales performance and provide guidance and support to the sales team to enhance productivity and achieve goals. -Conduct regular market visits to understand market dynamics, customer needs, and competitor activities. 2. Team Leadership and Development: -Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales representatives. -Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide coaching and feedback. -Motivate and inspire the sales team to achieve high levels of performance and professional development. 3.Strategic Planning and Execution: -Develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase market share and achieve business growth. -Plan and manage sales budgets, expenses, and resources effectively. -Coordinate with the marketing team to implement promotional activities and trade marketing initiatives. 4.Reporting and Analysis: -Prepare and present regular sales reports, including sales performance, market analysis, and forecasts. -Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. -Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making. 5.Qualifications and Skills: -Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. An MBA is a plus. -Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or area management, preferably in the FMCG or retail sector. Skills: -Strong leadership and team management skills. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth. -Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends. -Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). -Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
