Faculty of Science and Humanities (A Place for Transformation) DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AND APPLICATIONS✨ The 7th Edition of the SRM University Achiever's Award for school students was held with great enthusiasm at SRM University. The event celebrated the academic achievements of school students and encouraged them to keep excelling. It began with the Tamil Thaivazhthu, followed by the lighting of the Kuthuvizhakku, a traditional ritual to mark the start of the ceremony. Welcome Address ✨Dr. J. Dhilipan, Vice Principal (Admin),Head, Department of Computer Science and Applications, welcomed the guests, students, and parents, emphasizing the importance of recognizing academic success. Presidential Address ✨Dr. C. Sundar, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Humanities, congratulated the students and highlighted the need for holistic development. Keynote address ✨Dr. K. Sutha introduced Mr. K. Sivakumar, Secretary, Tamil Nadu Private schools association, Chairman, Orange Educational Institutions, who encouraged students to read newspapers, follow their passions, and make career choices based on personal interest rather than pressure from others. Special Address ✨Dr. S. Umashankari introduced Dr. B. Purushothaman, Chairman of the Everwin Group of Educational Institutions, who spoke about his contributions to education. ✨Dr. B. Purushothaman, in his keynote address, congratulated the students and stressed the importance of enhancing soft skills and staying focused. The highlight of the event was the award ceremony, where students were recognized for their academic achievements. Vote of Thanks ✨The event ended with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. D. Kanchana, and the National Anthem was sung to conclude the ceremony. It targets various aspects including hygiene, behavioral issues, and substance abuse. The program kicks off by instilling key messages right at the beginning, accompanied by meditation techniques for breathing and relaxation. These strategies set the tone for an interactive and engaging session. As the program progresses, students are guided through a series of activities that aim to be both informative and enjoyable.
