It was an incredible experience to serve as a judge at the recent TechBio Ideathon, where I had the privilege of evaluating several talented teams of young innovators working on groundbreaking biotech projects. The ideathon brought together brilliant minds from across the country, all eager to explore the vast potential of synthetic biology to address real-world challenges. As part of a diverse panel of experts, ranging from healthcare to environmental science, I was deeply impressed by the creativity and problem-solving skills displayed by these undergraduate students. Their passion for harnessing the power of synthetic and computational biology to drive change in healthcare, biosensing, and sustainability is truly inspiring. The depth of innovation and interdisciplinary thinking in these projects reaffirmed the incredible potential of today's youth to shape the future of biotechnology. It was an honor to contribute to this journey, and I look forward to seeing how these emerging scientists and entrepreneurs continue to push the boundaries of what's possible in biotech.
