On September 13, 2024, the IIT Bombay C1973 EV Lab proudly hosted E-Mobility Tech Day. This groundbreaking event united pioneers, innovators, and enthusiasts from the electric vehicle (EV) industry to explore the latest advancements and future trends in e-mobility. The day began with inspiring welcome address by Prof. Shireesh Kedare, Director, IITB followed by an insightful keynote address by our chief guest, Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Secretary, DST, followed by talks from Dr. Anita Gupta, HoD Climate, Energy & Sustainable Technology (CEST), DST; Mr. Rajendra Bhinge, Advisory Board Member, C1973 EV Power Train Lab, and former Executive Director of Tata Industries Ltd. and Chairman of Infiniti Retail Ltd. (Croma) & Nelco Ltd.; and Mr. Gajanan Gandhe, Country Head, Dana India. The agenda also featured speeches from Prof. Sachin C. Patwardhan, Dean R&D, Prof. Ravindra Gudi, Dean, ACR, and Prof. Sandeep Anand, PIC, C1973 EV Power Train Lab. The event was filled with inspiration and collaboration, including a panel discussion on "The Synergy Between Academia and Industry in Advancing Electric Vehicle Technology." & “EV revolution's imperatives for business”, coupled with focused theme panels on “EV power electronics and motors”, “Cells and Battery Pack”, and “Charging Infrastructure”. MoUs were signed with Dana Incorporated and FORVIA HELLA India as our CSR Partners, along with TapFin as our Affiliate Partner on the day of the event. This initiative was funded by the Institution of Eminence (IoE) and supported by our one-day sponsors, Revine Techologies Pvt. Ltd. Tech, as well as sponsor partners SAN INSTRUMENTS, Hioki E.E. Corporation & Nayak Power. Their contributions are essential in driving the future of e-mobility and paving the way toward a greener, more sustainable world. A highlight of the day was the launch of the Industry-Academia Partnership Program (I-APP) and the Executive Post Graduate Diploma (EPGD) in E-Mobility by Prof. Abhay Karandikar.
