Job Title: Test & Validation Manager Location: Gurgaon Department: R&D Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Test & Validation Manager to lead the development and execution of comprehensive test strategies for smart meters and embedded systems. You will manage a team to ensure product reliability, certification, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: • Embedded System Testing: Oversee unit tests for embedded systems within smart meters, ensuring robustness, functionality, and integration with other hardware and software components. • Test Automation: Lead the design and implementation of automated test suites to increase efficiency and coverage across multiple test environments. • Exploratory & Regression Testing: Drive both exploratory and regression testing methodologies • Type & Special Tests: Design and manage type tests, special tests, and accelerated reliability tests specific to smart meters to ensure long-term performance and product stability. • Design of Experiments: Apply statistical methods and Design of Experiments (DOE) to assess performance, reliability, and identify key factors influencing product behavior. • Bug Logging System: Oversee the implementation and usage of bug tracking systems to ensure issues are documented, tracked, and resolved efficiently. • Validation & Certifications: Lead the validation of smart meters against industry standards and manage the product certification process, ensuring compliance with IS and IEC standards. • Test Beds: Develop and maintain test environments, including test beds for performance, functionality, and integration testing of smart meter systems. • DLMS Compliance: Lead DLMS (Device Language Message Specification) testing to ensure compliance with industry protocols. • RF & Cellular Communication Interface Testing: Conduct testing for RF and cellular communication, ensuring reliable integration and performance • Team Building & Retention: Lead, mentor, and retain a high-performing testing and validation team, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous learning. • Conceptual Clarity & AI: Ensure clarity in the team’s understanding of testing principles and explore the use of AI tools to enhance test automation. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. • 7+ years of experience in embedded system testing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. • Proficiency in test automation frameworks, tools, and scripting languages. • Experience with DLMS, FOTA, RF and Cellular Communications testing, and related tools. • Strong knowledge of IS and IEC standards, certification processes, and compliance requirements. • Strong leadership skills with a track record of team building, retention, and project delivery.
