JioTesseract, India's biggest mixed reality company, is an MIT Media Lab spin-off and a public subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited. We aim to democratize mixed reality by bringing meaningful AR/VR content and affordable devices for consumers to experience the power of the next wave of computing. On a journey to revolutionize AR/VR in India, we recently unveiled JioDive, a smartphone-based VR headset, and JioImmerse, an XR (Extended Reality) app that transforms digital content viewing into immersive content, providing both 360-degree and big-screen modes. With JioDive, we have effectively transformed the way India watches cricket. For the first time in history, Indian audiences experienced the live IPL in 360 view which successfully reached 2.1 crore viewers and amassed a total viewership of 22,800,000 minutes in one season! After the successful launch of JioDive, next on our roster is the release of the state-of-the-art innovation, the JioGlass, a premium AR/VR device. This next-gen VR device is all set to take the VR landscape in India to a whole new level, bringing us even closer to augmented reality and mixed reality experiences in consumer and enterprise domains with the power of Jio’s True 5G network.
