Empowering Entrepreneurs: Thapar Innovate's Venture Lab Program Concludes Successful First Cohort The inaugural cohort of the Venture Lab Program at Thapar Institute, Patiala, wrapped up on November 23rd with nine promising startup teams showcasing their entrepreneurial potential. Supported by Startup Punjab(GoP), this intensive 10-week program immersed early-stage entrepreneurs in a transformative learning experience focused on personal and business development. It's inspiring to witness the passion and enthusiasm the students of Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology bring to entrepreneurship and innovation. The sustainability-focused student society, Enactus Thapar, conducted Aarambh, a startup event that saw workshops, panel discussions, and startup pitching sessions spread over two weekends! The student team worked for nearly 3 months to plan and execute the event, keeping close relationships with Thapar Innovate in reaching out to startups and ecosystem partners like Innovation Mission Punjab. It was heartening to see the wholehearted contribution of founders and investors who participated in the event and made it a grant success! The program brought a lot of excitement among the student community, as evident from the photos! Thapar Innovate in collaboration with Startup Punjab(GoP) is organizing an informative session on "Raising Funds from the Government" for startup incubators and accelerators. The session is led by ANKIT SAXENA who is the Director of the DS Centre of Entrepreneurship at IIT Delhi, where he is at the forefront of driving innovation and entrepreneurship. Before his current role, Mr. Saxena was the Head of Investments at the Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC) at IIT Kanpur. There, he was responsible for fundraising and was instrumental in developing various investment policies and frameworks, including a significant investment thesis for the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) focused on early-stage startups. With over 10 years of experience in the startup ecosystem, Mr. Saxena is well-connected with most VCs and Angel Investors. Thapar Innovate is excited to organize this informative session utilizing his experience and expertise.
