Building a D2C brand is a rollercoaster of investor meetings, long nights, and constant hustle. But what we don’t often talk about are the unsung heroes who keep us grounded along the way. For our co-founders, Sachee & Himanshu, those heroes are her two adorable dogs, Pumpkin and Guacamole. Pumpkin is a furball who believes your love is infinite—and still wants more (especially when it comes to food). Guac, on the other hand, is a little philosopher, always lost in deep thought. Our Healing from Sexual Trauma created with Neha Bhat, offers a therapeutic exploration of trauma and healing, and this award validates our mission to provide accessible and impactful sex education. When we started working on our expert-led masterclasses, some people wondered if it was even necessary. But we knew it was. That’s why we worked with some of the most credible sex educators in the country– Neha Bhat, ABT, ATR-P, Apurupa Vatsalya, Karishma Swarup, Artika Singh & Swati Jagdish on five comprehensive sex-ed masterclasses. Did we ever tell you about when we refreshed the packaging of our massagers? Okay, we have such a fun, interesting process to share with y’all. Initially, as a sexual wellness brand, we wanted to be loud and proud about everything we do - including the mono-carton boxes our massagers came in. As you can see in the first image, we did NOT shy away. There was only this, teeny-tiny feedback we received. The packaging wasn’t very discreet. And folks, in our world of sexual wellness, discretion is the KEY to anybody’s heart, since privacy is rare and the idea of self-pleasure is far from accepted in society. Our designers put on their thinking caps and those caps truly paid off, because born was our fresh, new, fun, colourful, and most importantly - discreet packaging What did we do? Look at LIT. (re: Image 2) 🤫The shape of our massagers are non-explicit and oh-so-cute. So we thought, why not use the shape of the vibes at the center of the packaging, almost like a Pokemon reveal! ✨ The concentric patterns represent the vibrations of the massager - we literally created good vibes 😛 😎 We kept it simple! We stuck to cute, relatable product names, like LIT, and removed the suffix of “massager” on the packaging - which doesn’t give away what it does. And ever since, our designers have been showered with praise over the fun, colourful yet discreet packaging as love poured in from customers online and at different pop-ups around the country.
