Transforming Healthcare Access with Air Mobility! 🚁💙 The ePlane Company and ICATT have signed an MoU to deploy 788 eVTOL air ambulances, marking the largest initial agreement in the eVTOL industry valued at over $1 billion. This partnership will enable rapid emergency response across every district in India. Dr. Dr Shalini Nalwad, Founder, ICATT: “This is going to be a very good solution in terms of organ air-lifts. 95% of the registered patient recipients die before they get an organ. This is purely because of the lack of logistics, not due to lack of donors. This collaboration is going to solve this problem and redefine access to healthcare in India” Prof. Satya Chakravarthy, Founder, The ePlane Company: “This collaboration is a monumental step in expanding aerial medical services. Faster airlifts will bridge the gap between accident sites and medical facilities—reducing fatalities and improving accessibility.” At the core is the e200x eVTOL, with rooftop take-off capability and the power to transport patients 7x faster than road vehicles. Together, we’re building India’s largest air ambulance network making life-saving care swift and accessible, anywhere. 🇮🇳 Dr Rahul Singh Sardar | Jayakrishnan Ramaswamy | Divya Manchanda | Subashree Krishnan | Nithyashree S. | Vishnu Ramakrishnan | Vikkalp Mittal | Sree Raghav | Chaman Yadav

A big leap for India’s eVTOL future! We’re excited to announce that CSIR-NAL and The ePlane Company have joined forces to push the boundaries of manned and unmanned aviation. Through this MoU, we’ll collaborate on R&D, resource sharing, and cutting-edge innovations in drones and VTOL technology bringing us closer to making urban air mobility a reality. Dr. Abhay A Pashilkar, Director, CSIR-NAL, put it best: "Given our scenario in the major metros, I think the time is ripe. This [eVTOLs] is one technology, I believe, will leapfrog us from being always followers to fast followers or really leaders in this field." He emphasized the importance of synergy: "I am really glad that we have got together into a MoU. We hope to take this forward by having a collaboration based on complementary skills that we bring to this project, and have interactions with the other ministries which will have a stake in this project." For us at The ePlane Company, this partnership is an honor. As our founder, Prof. Satya Chakravarthy, shared: "It is a matter of pride for ePlane to have the opportunity and privilege to collaborate with CSIR-NAL, in making eVTOL development a success in India. 🇮🇳 The collaboration support that we will get by working together with CSIR-NAL will be catalyzing this process in a significant way. I hope together, we will make India proud." This is more than just a partnership: it’s a step toward transforming the way we move and placing India at the forefront of next-gen aviation. What if the future of urban mobility was no longer a distant idea, but something taking shape today? At The ePlane Company, we’ve spent years refining a vision; one that challenges the way cities move. Today, we take a big step forward as we unveil the design of e200X. Behind this moment is a team that has poured its expertise, creativity, and persistence into shaping what the future of flying could be. #DefyGravity #TheePlaneCompany #DesignReveal #e200x

We have just reached that point in our journey at The ePlane Company today. Five years ago, we thought through what it takes for a real urban air mobility eVTOL that could have the best trip economics for an air taxi, and developed the tech around it. This is a clear case of #Tech4biz that I espouse in all my startups. As many would know, we started to develop the e200 and somewhere along the line, it became e200X. The pivot is when we realised it's good to have the most compact wingspan for the aircraft - facilitated by the lowest payload possible, but more important is to be able to offer multiple variants of the aircraft, starting with the 2-seater and extending beyond the same design all the way to a 5-seater ultimately, hence the 200X. (We are still convinced that a 2-seater has a great business case, more on that another time.) It has taken 84 design iterations of the e200 design before the pivot, 53 iterations of the airframe alone of the e200X (without the vertical and forward propulsion) and 59 iterations of the full e200X aircraft to freeze the design. The unique aerodynamics, the structural architecture, the battery pack design, the electric powertrain, the rotors and the propeller (we already saw about it), the flight dynamics and control plus the systems and autonomy meant to offer 5 levels of safety and several layers of redundancy like none other globally that we are aware of, and countless hours of wind tunnel testing, has resulted in what is now getting built, representing years of research, engineering and breakthroughs, by aerospace designers with seasoned hands-on experience in the past. What we reveal today is not just our design: it’s a statement on pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. A step towards a future where flying in cities isn’t a luxury, but a seamless part of daily life.

A significant milestone for The ePlane Company as we expand our manufacturing facility by 46,000+ sq. ft., enhancing capabilities in aircraft assembly, battery pack manufacturing, system integration, and rigorous in-house testing. This step forward reinforces our commitment to safety, efficiency, and innovation in eVTOL technology. The groundbreaking ceremony on January 31, 2025, led by Founder Satya Chakravarthy at IITM’s satellite campus, marks the beginning of this next chapter. Grateful for the expertise and dedication driving this vision forward. Even though we're future forward in our pursuit of the sky, we're still deeply routed to our origin. #ePlane #eVTOLs #FutureOfMobility #AdvancedAirMobility #AviationTech
