We hosted a Free Clinic Day at The Feline Foundation, offering free treatment and vaccinations for stray dogs and cats. It was an action-packed day as we cared for 115 animals and supported 54 community members! 🐾 The number of animals helped 🧡 - 35 dogs vaccinated against distemper, parvovirus, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and leptospirosis. - 35 cats protected against panleukopenia, calicivirus, and rhinotracheitis. - 37 cats and dogs safeguarded against rabies. - 30 animals were given thorough checkups for wounds, infections, parasites, and other health concerns. A big thank you to Marsh McLennan Global Services India Private Limited (MMGS) for partnering with us to make free healthcare accessible for stray animals. Together, we’re making a difference! ❤️ #animalwelfare #communitycare #healthcareforall #tillthelastoneissafe #corporatevolunteering #freeclinicday2025

Tour of the New Center!❤️ A heartfelt thank you to all our incredible donors who made our new center a reality! 🙏 With this move, we've not only doubled the number of stray animals we can care for but also created an upgraded, systematic space for our staff to work more efficiently. Our vision and goals have truly come to life in this new center, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! We’re excited to spend many years in our new space, helping thousands of animals along the way. Thank you so much! 🥰

🎉 Meet our incredible Volunteer of the Month for May 2024, Riddhima! 🎉 Riddhima joined us back in June 2022, and her journey with us has been nothing short of amazing. She initially started with day-to-day tasks like cage management, and now Riddhima assists Dr. Karen, Dr. Hariom, and Dr. Rohit in both OPD and OT. 🏥 Soon to be a veterinarian, Riddhima helps with client communication, handling cats and dogs on the table, prepping medicines and salines, and preparing vaccination certificates. She also looks after daily monitoring inpatient treatments and assists our doctors during spay/neuter surgeries and major surgeries like dental extractions, amputation, eye extirpation etc. 🐶🐱 Last month, she worked especially hard while interning with us. But that's not all! Riddhima also supports our social media team by capturing moments from major surgeries, spay/neuter surgeries, and daily OPD visits. 📸 An animal lover at heart, she adores spending time with all the cats and dogs here, especially our beloved Callie and Billi Cooper. 🐾 It's the cutest thing to hear her call them in her baby voice! Outside the clinic, Riddhima loves attending dance workshops and experimenting in the kitchen—her chocolate chip cookies are to die for! 🍪💃 We are so happy to make Riddhima our Volunteer of the month for May 2024! ❤️

Our Employee of the Month for April is Mitali Mohite ! 🥳 Many of you love our page but perhaps you've not had the opportunity to know the person behind the camera and creative words you see on our posts. Mitali is our amazing Assistant Development Manager who handles all our social media, volunteering, individual fundraising, and more! 🙀 Mitali joined us last June, and in just a year has brought so much to The Feline Foundation. It’s no easy task to keep everyone who follows and supports our organisation abreast of our daily work, and Mitali does so by herself! It takes more than social media know-how and creativity to manage an animal welfare NGO's pages, which Mitali has plenty of. But what she specially brings to TFF is her deep love for animals.❤️ Though kitties come and go every day in our trauma ward, Mitali goes out of her way to spend time with all of them, and expresses each kitty's needs and unique personality through our posts. She also strives to raise funds for every cat's medical care, even with our new centre's expanded capacity and increased operational costs, by learning new tools to help us meet our costs and help more animals. She has also applied herself to developing our volunteering program along with our volunteer coordinator Pooja. They have more than doubled our volunteers in just a year and Mitali takes time out of her busy schedule to recruit, train and guide new volunteers in various tasks. We also recently started a Corporate Employee Volunteering initiative. The program has been exciting, enriching and an educational experience for everyone, largely due to Mitali's planning and hands-on work!☺️ It is difficult to pen down everything she brings to TFF but we are extremely glad to have her. When Mitali isn't writing, replying to messages, documenting our animals, bonding with cats, training volunteers, and fundraising 🤌🏽, she likes dancing, reading, playing with Booey (our social media meowdel), crocheting, watching anime, going to the beach, and watching dumb reels. Though she's usually the one behind the camera, we hope you'll get to know her more now!🥹 Congratulations Mitali and thank you for being part of the team!!!🥺❤️ #employeeofthemonth

Today we did a cat population survey with employees volunteering from Marsh McLennan Global Services India Private Limited (MMGS). We surveyed, onfoot, a nearby locality in order to collect data on the community cats living there. We recorded: 1) Total number of cats: 67 2) Number of unsterilised cats: 35 3) Number of 'vulnerable' cats (kittens/pregnant/ lactating/ injured/ sick/ disabled): 11 Such surveys are very important for spay-neuter organisations like ours so we know where our focus is needed most. As there is little to no data on the status of stray animals in Mumbai, establishing a baseline is crucial for the planning of activities. While impact measurement is crucial, it is time- and resource-intensive on field work for NGOs like us. That is why we are grateful to the kind employees from Marsh McLennan who donated their time today in the hot sun to complete our survey. #SpayNeuterSavesLives #csr #animalwelfare #spayneuter #employeeengagement #corporatevolunteering

Meet our Employee of the month for March, Dr. Karen! 🤩 Karen Dsilva has been an invaluable member of our team since the beginning, and we deeply appreciate her dedication. Last month was a milestone for TFF, and Dr. Karen played an important role in our success. We achieved our highest number of sterilizations to date, largely due to Dr. Karen's efforts. She not only performed the majority of the surgeries but also assisted Snehal, our sterilization manager, in coordinating the scheduling effectively. 🤗 Dr. Karen's energy and commitment are remarkable. Even after her work hours, she remains engaged in additional activities. She helped us a lot in planning the Spay Day 2024 and bringing in doctors to carry out this special event. ✨ Dr. Karen's day starts with kissing Billi Cooper and ends with kissing and hugging Billi Cooper. Their bond is inseparable. We are thankful to her for staying with us for such a long time :) 😇 Congratulations Dr. Karen on being the best employee of the month for March 2024! ❤️

Meet our Volunteer of the month for March, Sahil! 🥳✨ Sahil has been a dedicated volunteer at TFF for over a year, consistently showing up for his Saturday shifts. Last month was particularly busy due to numerous events and increased number of sterilizations. One can say that he loves carrying out physical tasks at TFF which includes setting up cages in various wards, and maintaining overall cleanliness. Additionally, Sahil enjoys the hands-on activities like cat-catching too. 😻 Recently, he has found joy in spending time with the kitties at our facility and taking Callie on walks. Moreover, he makes sure to help us in all the events throughout the year. In our recent event, Spay day 2024 ✂️, Sahil helped us in carrying the cat carriers to the first floor. He helped us a lot in overall activities and we are glad to have him at The Feline Foundation. 🫶 #volunteerofthemonth
