About us
OSSI is a not-for-profit, member-based body of bariatric surgeons in India. As a scientific organization, it brings together other clinical experts such as Anaesthesiologists, Endocrinologists, Psychiatrists, Dieticians, Nurses etc. also within its ambit for the cause of treating morbidly obese patients. OSSI aims to support its members in aspects directly related to their profession, to optimize outcomes of treatments offered to severely obese patients. OSSI activities are focused on skill enhancement, information exchange and knowledge sharing on surgical treatments for severely obese patients. It helps present new techniques, research, and concepts to its members, who are experts in the field. OSSI today organizes member meetings twice a year to facilitate networking, learning and knowledge sharing amongst its members.

Accommodation: EC members will receive a complimentary two-night stay at the Hyatt Regency near the venue (check-in on 20th February and check-out on 22nd February). 2. Conference Registration: Registration for the conference will also be complimentary for EC members. 3. Distinguished International Participation: We have confirmations from the current Presidents of IFSO, ASMBS, BOMSS, Past Presidents, and a host of international faculty members who will be joining us for the Congress. 4. Call for Abstracts: We encourage EC members to submit abstracts. The top submissions will be selected for podium presentations, showcasing the best work. 5. Scientific Program: The conference’s scientific program, scheduled for 21st–22nd February 2025, is tightly packed. We will do our best to include a dedicated commitment for EC members during the event. 6. Pre-Conference Courses: We have esteemed Co-Chairs for various pre-conference courses—Dr. Manish Khaitan (Revision), Dr. Kular (Bypass), Dr. Sumeet Shah (Hernia), and Dr. Raj Palaniappan (Sleeve and Sleeve Plus).
