“Recovery is not for people who need it, it’s for people who want it." Recovery is a personal journey where individuals with psychiatric disabilities work toward adapting to their condition and making positive changes in their lives. It's about improving overall well-being and finding a sense of connection with the community. Mental health professionals play a crucial role in this process by understanding each person’s unique story and helping them access the right resources and support. Some simple yet impactful approaches to recovery include avoiding high-risk situations, being honest with yourself, and reaching out for support, whether it’s from government initiatives, non-profit organisations like Vandrevala Foundation or AASRA, crisis helplines, or trusted networks like family, friends, or psychologists. With the right support, setting small, achievable goals, developing self-care routines like healthy eating and exercise, and doing things that bring joy can make all the difference in the journey to a healthier, more fulfilling life. #RecoveryJourney #MentalHealthSupport #WellBeing #SelfCare #MentalHealthAwareness #SupportMatters #Therapy #CommunitySupport #HealthyLiving #Mindfulness #MentalHealthRecovery #OvercomingChallenges #HopeAndHealing #Resilience #PersonalGrowth

Productivity of an individual can be referred to as the ability of an individual to maximise their efficiency by making complete utilisation of their resources. We live in a culture where being productive is highly regarded and taking breaks is looked down about. But in reality taking breaks is an equal part of productivity as well. Various researches have pointed out that rest has helped to improve one’s overall productivity. Taking planned breaks improves an individual’s creativity, productivity in comparison to individuals that don’t take any breaks. A popular example of a study technique includes the Pomodoro technique which includes working for 25 minutes and taking a break for 5 minutes. This technique involves an individual taking planned 5 minute breaks every 25 minutes. It is important for workplaces to allow their employees to take breaks throughout the day. Along with this workplaces should provide a place for employees to rest during their break. Providing a break has led to employees being more satisfied with their work and performing their duties diligently. Engaging in activities like meditation, brisk walking etc are a helpful and efficient way to take breaks which helps an individual to be relaxed as well as improves their productivity for the remaining tasks. Please let us know in the comments down below what are a few activities you like to engage in while taking a break. #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthrecovery #mentalhealthadvocate #mentalhealthsupport #productivity
