About us

Udayam is a project envisaged by the District administration to rehabilitate and integrate the destitute who have been rescued from the streets in the wake of the Covid-19 outbreak and housed across various camps in the district. Social welfare departments and institutions like IMHANS and reputed NGOs have conducted a psychosocial assessment of these people and achieved considerable progress in changing their orientation towards life. As of now its capacities in three grounds at Kozhikode city as Udayam homes with around 200 people (at present) under the direct supervision of District Collector Kozhikode and Udayam Management Committee, providing them proper shelter as they do not have any families/employers to take care of them. Currently, Udayam is focusing on giving skilled training at the care centres to have proper employment facilities that can lead them to have a sustainable livelihood. Small contributions from our side would make a great aid for them.
