🌱 Varaha at Carbon Unbound West Coast: Exploring Nature-Based Solutions in Agriculture🌱 We were thrilled to participate in an insightful panel discussion, The Golden State’s Bread and Butter: Agriculture, at Carbon Unbound West Coast on October 25, 2024. Our CCO, Ikarus Janzen, joined fellow leaders to dive deep into nature-based solutions (#NBS) that are shaping the future of agriculture in California and beyond. The conversation tackled pressing questions, such as: - Which NBS solutions are gaining traction, and how do they vary across agricultural regions? - How can project developers effectively motivate farmers to adopt regenerative practices despite inherent risks and costs? - The role of carbon credits and subsidies in supporting farmers and decarbonizing the food sector. - The transformative potential of biochar, enhanced rock weathering (#ERW), and soil carbon storage.
