MSME CONCLAVE at TGS24 at BIEC on 11th December @ Bangalore The Tie Global Summit 2024 (TGS24 ) MSME Conclave brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and entrepreneurs to chart a dynamic course for empowering MSMEs in today's evolving global landscape. Curated with invaluable inputs from Vision Karnataka Foundation represented by President Kishor Jagirdar and the Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) represented by Sunil Telkar, the event provided a platform to explore innovative solutions and strategies for MSMEs to thrive through innovation, technology adoption, and financial resilience. The day began with opening remarks by Mr. Kishor Jagirdar President VKF setting up the stage with the critical value of the MSME in the exponential growth of the economy and a keynote address by Dr. S Devarajan (PED/Hos Devarajan, who emphasized the pivotal role of MSMEs in embracing electrification, automation, and sustainability to stay competitive in sectors like automotive. The sessions featured insightful contributions from distinguished speakers and panelists, including Dr. Rajkumar Khatri, Mr. N S Srinivasmurthy, Dr. Mukund Raj, Dr. Ashok Dalwai, Mr. S Sampathraman and Mr. Prabhudev Aradhya, Anitha Rao, Muralidhar BS among others. They addressed key themes such as building local value chains with a global outlook, agritech innovations for MSMEs, and leveraging digital tools for customer retention and growth. Discussions on financial tools and strategies emphasized emerging opportunities for MSMEs to address liquidity challenges and scale sustainably. A particularly engaging session on “Entrepreneurship Unleashed” showcased how personal boards can provide strategic guidance and accountability for entrepreneurs. The event concluded with Mr. Sunil Telkar, PMP, MIMA, representing BCIC, emphasizing the power of collaboration, innovation, and sustainability to drive MSME growth. A workshop on Digital Skills was organized by Department of Commerce, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal Campus for local SHGs of Udupi District on 28 September 2024 at our Incubation center for GI based communities at Manipal University Udupi. The program was supported by Vision Karnataka Foundation (VKF) with its panel of experts and Resources. Dr. Vrinda Bhat conducted the training and highlighted various ways in which SHGs can sell their products digitally and generate additional revenue and increase consumers. Opening remarks was given by Mr. Vinayak, Proprietor FreshPure Oils Sorabha, Shimoga District. This project is continuous process with Manipal University to beneficiaries from local communities and GI tagged products.
