Walk For Water

Walk for Water has been set up with the sole aim of providing safe water access to one and all. The United Nations General Assembly has recognized that clean drinking water and sanitation are essential to the realization of all human rights. The Honorable Supreme Court has time and again declared access to clean drinking water a fundamental right as part of the right to life under Article 21 of the Indian Constitution. Yet, for large sections of the populace, it is very hard to find clean water, let alone get access to it. At any one time, close to half of all people in developing countries are suffering from health problems caused by poor water and sanitation. Together, unclean water and poor sanitation are the world's second biggest killer of children. Walk for Water not only looks at smarter water treatment plants as a business idea but also considers it a sacred social duty to be performed, addressing the urgent need of providing safe, affordable water and address the sanitation needs of all.
