As an investor, I review countless startup blurbs and advise founders on perfecting theirs. A concise and compelling blurb is crucial for capturing investor interest in 30 seconds. For founders, the startup blurb is the first impression investors get. It’s your elevator pitch, summarizing your business's core aspects. A well-crafted blurb can double your meeting conversion rate, making it essential for fundraising. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗯? A startup blurb is a brief summary of your company that includes: 1. About: What’s the product? Who’s it for? How might this be a big business? Mention any traction or earned insights. 2. Team: Who are the founders? What about their backgrounds makes them likely to succeed? (LinkedIn profiles) 3. Financing Status: How much has been raised so far and when? Any notable existing investors? How much are you looking to raise?
