Westlife Foodworld Limited (WFL), formerly Westlife Development Limited, is one of the fastest-growing players in India’s quick service restaurant (QSR) sector. It focuses on establishing and operating McDonald’s restaurants across West and South India, through our wholly-owned subsidiary Hardcastle Restaurants Pvt. Ltd. (HRPL). Westlife Foodworld is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE: 505533). Westlife operates 337 McDonald’s restaurants (as of September 30th 2022) across 52 cities in the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, parts of Madhya Pradesh and Union Territory of Puducherry, and provides direct employment to over 10,000 employees. McDonald’s operates through various formats and brand extensions including standalone restaurants, Drive-Thru’s, mall food courts, McDelivery, McBreakfast and dessert kiosks. It also has three thriving brand extensions – McDelivery, McCafe and McBreakfast.

    Is your morning incomplete without a cup of coffee? If you said yes, you are part of the growing coffee market in India, projected to grow annually by 9.22% between 2024 and 2028. As a traditionally tea-drinking nation, this evolution is enriching India’s beverage culture. Coffee has come to symbolize an essential part of modern life, becoming the go-to drink for the young entrepreneur brainstorming their next big idea, or professionals collaborating on the go. Something I found even more interesting is that in a recent report, the beloved Indian filter coffee ranked second in the world, right after Cuba’s espresso! Showing just how quickly the appeal of our coffee is expanding internationally.  At McCafe, we are witnessing this culture shift first hand. Currently, coffee represents 12% of our overall sales, and we project this to reach 18% in the coming years.
