Some journeys start with a backpack, Anamika and Harish's started with a midnight text and a weather update. "A year after we first met, we were picking out a wedding lehenga. Four months later, we were telling this story on our wedding day. And today? We run a travel company together, and life has come full circle." It started with a trip to Munnar, a mutual friend-turned-Cupid who works at Zostel, and a 4-hour biryani drive. Then, 10 days later, a bad Bumble date rant led to a conversation that changed everything. Love surely has its own ways. Do you have a travel love story of your own? Share it with us!

Here's how Avni Paliwal navigated the role of a community manager at Zostel Mcleodganj- an experience that was both meaningful & challenging for her.🌸 Read her story below.👇

Stepping Outside My Comfort Zone: My Experience as a Community Manager at Zostel McLeodganj Volunteering as a Community Manager at Zostel McLeodganj was truly an enriching experience that pushed me to grow, connect, and take on new challenges every day. Looking back, it's not just the tasks I enjoyed, but the valuable life lessons and the chance to build meaningful connections with people from all over the world. Here’s a glimpse of what I did: -Organized city day tours, covering all the touristy spots and my personal favourite cafes 🏔️☕️ -Hosted creative painting sessions, where people unleashed their inner artists 👩🏻🎨 -Managed check-ins and served as the first point of contact for travellers 📞 -Took orders and served food in the in-house cafe 🍽️ -Planned movie nights and created engaging experiences 🎥 -Painted vibrant flowers on the wall, adding a personal touch to the space 🎨 -Played board games with guests, building connections and memories 🎯🎲 -Organized bonfire nights, bringing new people together and forming lasting bonds ❤️🩹 The experience helped me learn how a simple "hello" can lead to powerful connections and how to rely entirely on myself to carry out tasks independently. It taught me the value of building a community, being adaptable, and embracing new opportunities every day. #CommunityManagement #Volunteering #Zostel #Travel #NewConnections #SelfGrowth #Leadership #EventPlanning #TravelCommunity #Teamwork #Hospitality

When a cancelled trip leads to everlasting memories! Meet Naincy, who chose adventure over disappointment and discovered the true spirit of solo travel at Zostel. Even though her travel plans fell through, she took a solo trip to Jaisalmer. “There was this moment at Zostel Jaisalmer where a traditional Rajasthani band started playing a song, and wove my name into the lyrics, creating an unique and unforgettable experience for me.” From joining desert safaris with newfound friends to planning future adventures in Rishikesh, Naincy's story reminds us that sometimes the best travel moments are the unplanned ones.

From wedding crashers to honoured guests: Siddharth's unforgettable journey through Leh! ⛰️ "The place, the location, the view from the terrace - Zostel Leh has to be my favourite!" shares Siddharth, who has experienced life at Zostel across Mysore, Bangalore, Jodhpur, and now Leh. But it's what happened next that made this trip extra special. 🙌 On his first day at Zostel Leh during his October Zo Trips, Siddharth stumbled upon a traditional Ladakhi wedding right outside the Zostel. Through a chance conversation with the wedding manager (who coincidentally was from his hometown), the entire group was warmly invited to join the celebration. 🥳 From being welcomed by the bride's family to receiving ceremonial scarves from the groom's aunt, the travellers found themselves fully immersed in authentic Ladakhi culture. They danced to local tunes, discovered unique wedding traditions (including the fascinating custom of the groom's absence during certain ceremonies), and experienced the legendary warmth of Ladakhi hospitality. "The warmth and hospitality of the Ladakhi people was overwhelming. The bride’s family, especially the groom’s aunt made us feel incredibly welcomed." 🤗 Zo Trips by Zostel is all about creating such travel experiences for everyone. Because travel is much more than just packing your bags and visiting a place. It's about the people you meet and how they become a part of your memories. 🚗 #ZostelLife #TravelStories #RealExperiences #Leh #Ladakh #CommunityTravel #TravelIndia #ZoTrips #BackpackingIndia
