Job Summary:

The Director of Engineering Operations is a senior leadership role based in India, responsible for implementing and enforcing engineering operations processes and best practices across software development teams. This role emphasizes process standardization, productivity monitoring, and tool deployment to enhance efficiencies across teams. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in managing large software delivery teams, driving operational excellence, and leveraging AI-powered tools to improve software development and testing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Implementation and Enforcement:

· Implement and enforce Engineering Operations (EngOps) processes and best practices as prescribed by the EngOps Architecture Team.

· Collaborate with software development teams to ensure seamless adoption of standardized processes.

· Identify and address challenges in process implementation to ensure compliance and effectiveness.

Productivity Monitoring:

· Monitor and analyze productivity changes within teams adopting new EngOps processes.

· Establish metrics and reporting systems to measure improvements in efficiency and output.

· Provide insights and recommendations for further optimization based on data-driven analysis.

Tool Deployment:

· Deploy tools and platforms that enhance efficiencies for developers, testers, and business analysts.

· Evaluate and recommend software solutions aligned with organizational needs.

· Ensure proper training and support for teams using new tools.

AI-Powered Tools Integration:

· Identify and integrate AI-powered tools into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes to enhance operational and quality outcomes.

· Stay updated with the latest AI-powered technologies and tools relevant to software development, testing, and team collaboration.

· Champion the use of AI-driven solutions for automating repetitive tasks, improving code quality, and accelerating testing cycles.

Leadership and Collaboration:

· Act as a liaison between the EngOps Architecture Team and software development teams.

· Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within engineering operations.

· Drive alignment across teams to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree or MBA is preferred.

Experience:

· Minimum of 20 years of experience managing large software delivery teams.

· Proven expertise in implementing process standardization and operational improvements.

· Strong background in engineering operations and software development lifecycle (SDLC) management.

· Demonstrated knowledge of AI-powered tools and their application in software development and testing processes.
