Job Summary:

The Head of Finance at Nine Jewellery will oversee the financial health of the organization, drive financial strategy and planning, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and support decision-making with accurate financial analysis. The role involves a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on management to ensure optimal financial performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership:

1. Develop and implement financial strategies to align with the company’s long-term objectives.
2. Provide financial insight and analysis to support the company’s strategic decision-making processes.
3. Partner with the leadership team to drive profitability and ensure sustainable growth.

Financial Planning and Analysis:

1. Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
2. Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
3. Conduct feasibility studies and ROI analyses for new projects or investments.

Treasury and Cash Flow Management:

1. Oversee cash flow planning, fund management, and investment strategies.
2. Manage banking relationships and ensure the availability of sufficient funds to meet operational needs.

Compliance and Risk Management:

1. Ensure compliance with tax regulations, company law, and other statutory obligations.
2. Identify and mitigate financial risks through robust internal controls and audits.
3. Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies as required.

Team Leadership and Development:

1. Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
2. Conduct regular training and mentoring sessions to enhance team capabilities.

Operational Excellence:

1. Optimize financial processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
2. Implement best practices in cost control, financial reporting, and expense management.

Key Skills and Competencies:

1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Previous background in Jewellery Industry is compulsory.
2. Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budget management.
3. In-depth knowledge of Indian accounting standards (Ind AS) and GST compliance.
4. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
5. Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel capabilities.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA in Finance, or equivalent qualification.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in retail, luxury, or manufacturing industries.
3. Proven track record of driving financial strategies and managing large-scale operations.
4. Previous background in Jewellery Industry is compulsory.
