First thing about the hotel is that it js huge hence if you stay here , you really need to do lots of walking. I was given a room in the B wing and most of the amenities are in the other wings. The hotel is on a massive ground with East and West side also with standalone cottages. The West side from what I knew is the more economical one, but walking from the wings within the West side is already a real workout. The location of the hotel is within walking distance from the JR Karuizawa station but the hotel runs free shuttle service regularly stopping right at the lobby of West side. The room is simplistic and well maintained typical in most Japanese hotels. What I like is that the wash basin is outside the shower room. Nothing fanciful about the room but large enough to have a sofa even for the basic rooms. As mentioned walking from my side of the wing to the onsen is a good 10 mins walk and also to the self service laundry area. Breakfast is good but very expensive if you did not include it at almost 4000 yen per person. There is a Famjly Mart convenience store right in the hotel which solves most of the issues. Overall a very decent hotel in this area.

良いところ １．スタッフさんの姿勢が良く、明るくテキパキ対応されていて、気持ちが良いです。 ２．食事が美味しいです。夕食はフルコースでしたが、予想を裏切る美味しさです。鴨肉は柔らかく、グリーンピースのポタージュは濃厚、デザートのフォンデーンショコラも良かったです。朝食のビュッフェも品数が豊富、味も良かったです。湯豆腐が特に良かった。 残念なところ １．良く手入れはされていますが、やはり築年数には勝てないところもありました。部屋の給換気ファンの音、給湯の量など。 総じて雰囲気も良く、楽しい時間を過ごせました。 ありがとうございました。

The property is very charming and the photos shown are true to actual. Location is a bit far from the station so best to arrange the shuttle bus service or take a cab. Room is neat and cosy and the private onsen is a nice bonus. Breakfast is lovely and the fresh vegetables were amazing however the dinner was a let down as it wasn’t served in the restaurant. Instead we were provided with a voucher for redemption at the bar. The food is just average, beef was not very fresh, and your clothes and hair reek of smell after dinner as they cook the food right at the bar.

The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from Karuizawa station. Take the north exit on the bridge/walkway after coming up from Shinkansen platform, it's the left. There's a tourist info with helpful people at the end of the corridor, and an escalator next to it. Once you come out, with your back to the station, walk straight down the road, and take left at the first traffic light, near the Shell station. The hotel is opposite Family Mart. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room was generous-sized with an ante-room which has a fridge, some storage cupboards and the main room is nice and big with a good-sized bed. They provide 2 bottles of water. You can take day trips to Naka Karuizawa, Shiraiito Falls among other destinations using the bus service outside the station. It's a lot easier if you have Suica card or you will need to carry many 1000 yen notes. On the way back you can you can stop off at Kyu Karuizawa and walk the streets of Old Ginza. It can also be reached by foot, takes about 25-30 minutes.

I will go to ski for one night in a hurry and make a reservation immediately. Stay in one room alone and 8500 yen Hotel and facilities, but if you think it is a general business hotel, it feels about 6500 yen, but I think it is a range that is convinced if you think about the location. Overall clean and clean. I tried to ask for a buffet breakfast at the time of local check-in, but when I arrived at the site, I was surprised by ”sold out”. Even if I looked at the breakfast venue the next morning, it was a little disappointing.

The hotel is a small European-style building located on the main street of the town. There is a beautiful garden and parking garage opposite the tourist association. The room is very large in Japan with a balcony, and the upstairs can be heated indoors and open air. The front desk of the hotel can communicate with people in English. The breakfast variety is more than the self-service form. The price of 2,500 yen is not cheap. The hotel bicycle rental is more expensive. There is a rental shop next to 100 meters and the car is particularly light and easy to ride.

Although it is far from the station, it is very convenient to have someone to pick it up by car. In the morning, you will be booked with you to determine the time to go. The only inconvenience is that there is no supper in my order. There are no convenience stores around. Other play facilities and hot spring bath facilities are ok The prices are also very clean. I also arranged a large room for me alone I ate breakfast at the hotel in the morning and loved waking up in the forest early in the morning. We visited Karuizawa in the winter and stayed at the Shinonome Salon. It's only about a 10 minute brisk walk from the Karuizawa shinkansen station along pavements so easy to pull your luggage along with you. The name is confusing but I guess they wanted to call their hotel a saloon but ended up spelling it like a hairdresser. Check-in was smooth and without incident. We arrived late in the evening and although only one person was on duty they did expect us. Our booking.com form was printed out ready for our check-in. There are no elevators in this hotel so you have to lug your baggage up the stairs yourself. The old man who I think is resident there tried to help but he struggled with our heavy suitcases. If you're not strong and your baggage is heavy you might want to request the bottom floor. One annoying feature of the hotel is that you cannot wear your own shoes past the lobby area. You need to switch out of your shoes and place them in the provided lockers and wear the provided slip-ons instead. Annoying but I can live with it. The rooms are small and the toilet tiny. But they are clean. No rollaways for a third person possible in this room. The two beds were small singles. I notice chips on all furniture in the room probably caused by suitcases hitting the furniture given the tight space available. While not pretty to look at it didn't take away from the cleanliness in general. The toilet has a japanese style bathtub which is deep and requires a big step over. Anyone with disabilities might find it a bit difficult. I guess the tub acts as a makeshift onsen. The room includes amenities but I recommend you bring your own soap and shampoo. Hotel amenities in Japan are micro sized and barely adequate and are just a token gesture. The room has a heater and kept the room warm but all the switches were in Japanese. I did figure out how to adjust the temperature eventually. Breakfast was good and adequate even for the largest of appetites and I recommend you include this in your stay. My android phone was able to pick up Wifi in the room but not Apple iPhones. They did say at check-in Wifi was available only in the lobby area. Overall a decent comfortable stay and will consider staying again in future.

The environment is very beautiful and quiet, suitable for family trips with children, especially the food and service of the hotel is very good, I will go again next time

The villa is in a very quiet villa group, and the air is very good. From Karuizawa Station, you can take the bus to Yukawa, and it takes less than 10 minutes to get off the bus. Or take the Nakakaruizawa one stop to Nakakaruizawa, and then walk for 17 minutes. This path is not recommended at night because it passes through an unlit alley and a cemetery. The hotel is almost entirely self-service, and you fold the mattresses and quilts yourself. Each room has a bathroom. When taking a bath, it is a public bathhouse. It is not possible for two people to wash together in the bathhouse. It is a bit crowded for three people. The hotel's nearest convenience store is a 10-minute walk away. The 711 here is open from 6 am to 11 pm. The Stone Church is 7 minutes away from the convenience store. The price/performance ratio is pretty good. Bicycles can be rented at the entrance of the hotel. Please confirm with the front desk for details.
