Paid training program

More by this author

Conexus Indiana received a $350,000 grant from the Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation to train and place Marion County residents in manufacturing jobs. Currently, there are almost 1,000 manufacturing companies in Indiana with nearly 10,000 advanced manufacturing job openings. The average starting wage for those jobs is $16 an hour.

Catapult Indiana, Conexus Indiana’s job training program, offers 160 hours of advanced manufacturing training. The program teaches advanced manufacturing skills to unemployed and underemployed adults and graduating high school students. Students receive a stipend during training, which involves classroom instruction and simulated work.

Ivy Tech Community College is offering graduates free post-secondary credits.

Classes begin in June. For more information, contact Robert McQuern at RMcQuern@Conexusindiana.com.
