AbstractAbstract
[en] From the perspective of the 80s, the origins of the torsion balance seem lost in antiquity. Despite a long history of successful applications, measurement precision has not yet come close to the classical performance limits posed by the fluctuation-dissipation theorem. Significant advances may yet be possible

AbstractAbstract
[en] The specific features and the conditions of validity of the analytic expressions for the average survival probability of the solar neutrinos in the Sun derived for the case of two-neutrino transitions in the linear and exponential density approximations are discussed. A complete, simple and sufficiently accurate analytic description of the solar neutrinos transitions in the Sun is found

AbstractAbstract
[en] We have analyzed gravity and density data from 5 boreholes at the Nevada Test Site (USA). Each hole is approximately 600 meters deep and the holes are relatively close together (≅ 2 km separation). We find that there is 2.5% discrepancy in the gravity gradient when compared to the gradient predicted by a standard Newtonian model of the earth. In contrast, Stacey et al. have found a 0.52% discrepancy in the gravity gradient in a deep mine in Australia. These data may suggest a breakdown of Newtonian gravity, but more probably reflect intermediate range geologic effects that are not incorporated in the model

AbstractAbstract
[en] A silicon detector array has been used to obtain limits for three decay modes of Mo100. One to two mole-weeks of exposure gives limits of 1 x 1022 years for the neutrinoless mode, 3.8 x 1018 years for the two-neutrino mode and 5.1 x 1020 years for the Majoron mode. No evidence is found for the Majoron decay mode. The potential exists to improve the detector sensitivity more than one order of magnitude beyond the best limits to date

AbstractAbstract
[en] We have obtained preliminary experimental result about the fifth force by measuring the acceleration-difference between two objects freely falling at the same time with a sensitivity of 10μ Gals. This result shows the feasibility to measure the difference with the precision of a few μ Gals for several pairs of objects
