[en] In the presentation, based on the draft Manual, a short review of the use of the INES rating of events concerning radiation protection is given, based on a new INES User's Manual edition. The presentation comprises a brief history of the scale development, general description of the scale and the main principles of the INES rating. Several examples of the use of the scale for radiation protection related events are mentioned. In the presentation, the term 'radiation protection related events' is used for radiation source and transport related events outside the nuclear installations. (authors)

[en] The presentation reports on short audit of Radon program of Czech republic in an area of treatment of drinking water for public after 10 years of its action. There are mentioned different used technologies and possibilities of utilization of state aid while removing radionuclides from water .There are discussed limiting values and theirs lowering, the impact on drinking water suppliers. Experience of state administration gained in treatment of drinking water during existence of Radon program as regards conditions, technologies and effectivity .There are shortly signed perspectives of Radon program after 2009 in an area of treatment of drinking water namely in term of financing. [en] The objective of this paper is to draw attention to possible discrepancies in the measuring the quantities of ionizing radiation mainly in natural environment, that cannot be explained by faulty gauges. In addition I would like to draw the attention to these issue radiation protection researchers, document that uncertainties in estimating the impact of exposure and transfer them into the language of used meters tolerances.
