AbstractAbstract
[en] The new type of rapid radon monitor is described. The monitor can measures radon concentrations using the special detecting system and method of measuring RaA based on passive diffuse principle. The characteristics are fast response time (30 min) and maintaining the advantage of passive monitoring method. It is widely used in the environment protection and radiation protection. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The deposition and translocation of 137Cs deposited on plants are studied using an aerosol simulation facility in CIRP in 2002 and 2003. The plant species involved are paddy, winter wheat, radish, Chinese cabbage and tomato. The plants are contaminated by aerosol deposition at different growth periods. Experimental results of interception factors (R), translocation factors (Tiv) and leaf area index(LAI) are reported and discussed. The basic data of deposition experiments including characteristics of aerosol particles, soil properties are provided. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] 14C labeled poly methyl methacrylate can be used as a radioactive source for measuring the thickness of paper in the production lines. Very thin and uniform sources can be obtained by the method. Its preparation procedures are as follows: (1)Synthesis of Argerfine methacrylicate. (2)Preparation of poly methyl methacrylate labelled with 14C. Argerfine methacrylicate is mixed and refluxed with 14C labeled iodine methane, at 72 degree C for five hours in a bottle. (3)The preparation of the radioactive source. Initiating agent is added into the bottle. The bottle is heated to 75 degree C for one hour, then heated to 100 degree C for another one hour. The reactive product is sealed with epoxy resin. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The method and the results of the tracer migration test in horizontal column, which was conducted in the experimental shaft of the CIRP's Field Test Site, are introduced. The effects of the shape of tracer source on 90Sr migration are discussed. The results indicates that adsorption capacity of loess to 90Sr, 237Np, 238Pu and 241Am are relatively strong. Humus retarded migration of 90Sr. Retardation coefficient of 90Sr, under the condition of plane source, is less than that under the condition of point source. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Since the 80's last century, a great attention has been being paid to the environmental protection over the world .The ecosystem protection has been more and more concerned in post -industry times by the human being and scientists. In view of the radiation protection, because of the requirement for radiological assessment and radwaste disposal, especially HLW disposal ,the study on environmental radiochemistry in China has been promoted recently .In such broad background, environmental radiochemistry, as branch of radiochemistry and nuclear environmental science, has been developed. Some main study fields of environmental radiochemistry are briefly described and discussed. The aspects described below are included: I .The scope of environmental radiochemistry; II .The main progress of analytical methodology of nuclides in the environment; III.Study of migration and speciation of radionuclides in the environment; IV.Applications of environmental radiochemistry in several fields. The main progress on respects mentioned above are briefly reviewed. The future trends on environment radiochemistry are discussed, some proposal and comments related to the developing discipline are emphasized to aim at the discussion among the scientist over the world. AbstractAbstract
[en] The paper introduces the methods for the measurement of radioactivity of tritium and radiocarbon in biological samples. After combustion, the OBT(organic bound tritium) of biological sample is converted to HTO, the tritium contents of the water is determined by liquid scintillation counting. After Oxygen bomb combustion, the sample is converted and CO2 synthesized benzene after steps of reactions. The limit detection is 1.2 Bq/L and 1.0 Bq/kg(C) for tritium and radiocarbon respectively. The activity results of biological samples are given, such as milk, leave, soil, animal ,etc.. (authors)
