AbstractAbstract
[en] British Nuclear Fuels plc (BNF plc) owns and operates facilities representing the complete nuclear fuel cycle with the exception of uranium mining. The present policy for decommissioning these facilities is to complete decommissioning within 50 years except for reactors for which the period is 100 years. The majority of facilities to be decommissioned are located to the Sellafield Site in NW England. Currently twenty one projects form the current 10 year Sellafield Decommissioning Program. Five of these projects will be described in some detail to illustrate the variety of decommissioning work being undertaken together with a description of a research reactor being decommissioned by the Sellafield Decommissioning Team for a third party client
