AbstractAbstract
[en] A semi-microscopic Hartree-Fock-Bogolubov (HFB) calculation which reproduces in a correct qualitative manner the changes in the deformation that occur upon the addition of a proton to the even-even nuclei sup(70,72)Ge and sup(80)Kr has been done and the results are presented. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Nuclear spectroscopic information or known nuclides of mass number 98 (Kr,Rb,Sr,Y,Zr,Nb,Mo,Tc,Ru,Rh,Pd,Ag,Cd,In) has been evaluated and presented together with adopted energies and Jπ of levels in these nuclei. No data are yet available for excited states in 98Kr and 98In. This evaluation represents a revision of earlier Nuclear Data Sheets for A = 98 (92Si21,83Mu21,74Me34). The nuclides 98Sn and 98Tc have not yet been identified, but have been included (97He24,95Do05) in theoretical calculations

AbstractAbstract
[en] The study of high-spin states in Kr isotopes near A = 80 region has attracted a considerable interest in recent years. A variety of shapes, shape coexistence as well as backbending phenomenon have been studied in the many of Kr isotopes. In the case of 80Kr, the high spin structure has been studied by Doring et al. rather extensively and has provided considerable insight into the structure of f-p-g shell nuclei and the competition between single-particle and collective degrees of freedom. Backbending phenomenon is reported in 80Kr at ω = 0.5 MeV

AbstractAbstract
[en] The investigation of the phase transitional properties of physical systems is known to be of pertinence in natural science. One of the challenges in such pursuits pertains to the rapid change in the order parameter, with variation in the control parameter, at the point of phase transition, that makes it obscure to unambiguously identify the latter. In nuclei, the phase transitions will occur at zero temperature and correspond to the change in the equilibrium deformation or ground-state symmetry of the system with variation in the number of nucleons that acts as the control parameter. The present investigation in 82Kr provides a strong experimental evidence of such rare and novel phenomenon of structural evolution in atomic nuclei

[en] For isotope separation of 82Kr and 86Kr a plasma centrifuge is used. By axial outlet of the depleted and enriched fractions respectively the separating rate is increased by an order of magnitude compared to radial outlet. (DG)
