AbstractAbstract
[en] Detailed experiments aimed at the determination of absolute intensities of γ rays associated with the antimony fission products were completed. Of particular importance is 133Sb, in which there is the unexpectedly large population of the daughter 133Te isomer. Of the γ rays observed in the 133Sb decay, those with intensities of five percent or greater are tabulated. 1 table

AbstractAbstract
[en] Recent developments of the fast-timing setup at Lohengrin ILL Grenoble, by using high performance LaBr3(Ce) scintillators and a new ionisation chamber, significantly improved the precision of lifetime measurements. In the present work we investigate the 133Sb nucleus, by employing the new experimental setup. The 133Sb nucleus has just one proton outside the doubly magic 132Sn and it is an excellent test ground for the nuclear shell model. A 17 microsecond isomer was previously observed in this nucleus. Measurements of the lifetimes of the states below this isomer allows not only to verify the multipolarity of the transitions, but also to establish the level scheme. Furthermore, the lifetimes extracted from our experiment allows to test various shell model calculations which should be able to accurately predict lifetimes of the states for this simple nucleus.

AbstractAbstract
[en] Nuclear spectroscopy studies of 13351Sb82 have been performed at the recoil fission product separators JOSEF and LOHENGRIN. A tentative level scheme has been established for this nucleus with one proton in addition to the doubly closed shell core 132Sn. Two isomeric states with half-lives of 3 and 16 μs have been found at excitation energies of > 4,300 keV and 4,526 keV, respectively. Lower limits of 15/2 are deduced for the spins of these levels. The hsub(11/2) proton state is suggested at 2,792 keV in agreement with the systematics of the lighter Z = 51 isotopes and the heavier N = 82 isotones. Several states have been observed between 4,300 and 4,600 keV which are probably due to the coupling of the single proton to core-excited states which have energies between 4,000 and 4,800 keV. AbstractAbstract
[en] In this paper, a search for instability of nucleons bound in 136Xe nuclei is reported with 223 kg·yr exposure of 136Xe in the EXO-200 experiment. Lifetime limits of 3.3 × 10 23 and 1.9 × 10 23 yr are established for nucleon decay to 133Sb and 133Te, respectively. These are the most stringent to date, exceeding the prior decay limits by a factor of 9 and 7, respectively.
