AbstractAbstract
[en] In a deep-sea neutrino telescope it is mandatory to locate the position of the optical sensors with a precision of about 10 cm. To achieve this requirement, an innovative Acoustic Positioning System (APS) has been designed in the frame work of the KM3NeT neutrino telescope. The system will also be able to provide an acoustic guide during the deployment of the telescope’s components and seafloor infrastructures (junction boxes, cables, etc.). A prototype of the system based on the successful acoustic systems of ANTARES and NEMO is being developed. It will consist of an array of hydrophones and a network of acoustic transceivers forming the Long Baseline. All sensors are connected to the telescope data acquisition system and are in phase and synchronised with the telescope master clock. Data from the acoustic sensors, continuously sampled at 192 kHz, will be sent to shore where signal recognition and analysis will be carried out. The design and first tests of the system elements will be presented. This new APS is expected to have better precision compared to the systems used in ANTARES and NEMO, and can also be used as a real-time monitor of acoustic sources and environmental noise in deep sea.

AbstractAbstract
[en] The contribution reviews the results of our recent experiments at SHIP (GSI, Darmstadt) aimed at the study of very neutron-deficient Pb-Rn nuclides in the vicinity of N=104. The first part presents the unambiguous identification of the EC-delayed fission (ECDF) in the odd-odd isotopes 192,194At. The ECDF data allow us to study the fission properties of the nuclei which do not decay via spontaneous fission at all. The preliminary analysis indicate unusually high ECDF probabilities for these nuclides. The second part discusses the new data on the shape coexistence in the Pb region. Identification of the new isotopes 193,194Rn and first experimental evidence for the long-sought ground state deformation in lightest Rn isotopes will be presented. The strong retardation (by a factor of ∝10) of the half-life of the new isotope 186Po relative to the classical Geiger-Nuttall rule for alpha decay will be also discussed. This indicates that the Geiger-Nuttall rule is broken in the lightest Po isotopes

AbstractAbstract
[en] Beta-delayed fission is a rare process in which the beta-decaying precursor populates relatively low-excited state in its decay daughter, which may then fission. This allows to study low-energy fission properties e.g. the isospin dependence of the fission barriers. It is currently believed that the beta-delayed fission process is crucial for understanding the r-process path and for the production of the heaviest elements. In the presentation, the recent experiments performed at the velocity filter SHIP (GSI) and at the mass-separator ISOLDE (CERN) will be discussed. In these experiments, the ECDF decay was unambiguously observed in several very neutron-deficient nuclides in the Pb region (192,194At and 180Tl). ECDF probability and total kinetic energy were determined. Surprisingly, an asymmetric mass distribution of fission fragments was observed in ECDF of 180Tl. Preliminary analysis also shows that the cold fission (no neutron emission) might be the main decay channel in the ECDF decay of this nucleus.

AbstractAbstract
[en] Fibroblast activation protein is one of the most attractive targets for tumor diagnosis and therapy. There have been many successful clinical translations with small molecules and peptides, yet only a few anti-FAP antibody diagnostic or therapeutic agents have been reported. Antibodies often feature good tumor selectivity and long tumor retention, which may be a better-match with therapeutic radionuclides (e.g., Lu, Ac) for cancer therapy. Here we report a Lu-labeled anti-FAP antibody, PKU525, as a therapeutic radiopharmaceutical for FAP-targeted radiotherapy. The anti-FAP antibody is produced as a derivative of sibrotuzumab. The pharmacokinetics and blocking study are performed with Zr-labeled antibody by PET imaging. The conjugation strategies have been screened and tested with SPECT imaging through Lu-labeling. The biodistribution and radiotherapy studies are performed on Lu-labeled anti-FAP antibody in NU/NU mice-bearing HT-1080-FAP tumors. A multiple time-point PET imaging study shows that the tumor accumulation of [Zr]Zr-DFO-PKU525 is intense, selective, and relatively rapid. The time activity curve indicates that the tumor uptake continually increases until reaches the highest uptake (SUVmax = 18.4 ± 2.3, n = 4) at 192 h, then gradually declines. Radioactivity rapidly cleared from the blood, liver, and other major organs, resulting in high tumor-to-background ratios. An in vivo blocking experiment suggests that [Zr]Zr-DFO-PKU525 is FAP-specific and the uptake in FAP-negative tumors is almost negligible. Ex vivo biodistribution study shows that the tumor uptake of [Lu]Lu-DOTA-NCS-PKU525 is 23.04 ± 5.11% ID/g, 33.2 ± 6.36% ID/g, 19.87 ± 6.84% ID/g and 19.02 ± 5.90% ID/g at 24 h, 96 h, 168 h, and 240 h after injection (n = 5), which is corroborated with the PET imaging. In therapeutic assays, multiple doses of [Lu]Lu-DOTA-NCS-PKU525 have been tested in tumor-bearing mice, and the data suggests that 3.7 MBq may be sufficient to completely suppress the tumor growth in mice without showing observable side effects. A FAP-targeted antibody-radionuclide conjugate was developed and evaluated in vitro and in vivo. Its tumor accumulation is rapid and high with a clean background. It remarkably suppresses the tumors in mice while the side effect is almost negligible, showing that it is promising for further clinical translational studies.

AbstractAbstract
[en] Detailed α-decay studies of the neutron-deficient isotope 194At have been performed in the complete fusion reaction 56Fe+141Pr→194At+3n at the velocity filter SHIP. Two α-decaying isomeric states with half-lives of T1/2(194Atm1)=310(8) ms and T1/2(194Atm2)=253(10) ms were identified in this nucleus. Their complex decays to the states in the daughter nucleus 190Bi are discussed in the article. We propose that similar to the case of the neighboring 191,192,193,195At isotopes, the oblate-deformed configurations based on the proton 1/2+[440] and/or 7/2-[514] Nilsson orbitals become important in 194At. A new isomeric state with the half-life of 175(8) ns was observed in 190Bi.

[en] This contribution reviews the results of recent experiments at the velocity filter SHIP (GSI, Darmstadt) in which a number of very neutron-deficient nuclei with Z=83-88 and N< 126 were studied in detail and new nuclides 186,187Po, 192At and 193,194Rn were identified. Complete fusion reactions at beam energies close to the Coulomb barrier were used, followed by particle detection with various detection systems. Peculiarities in α-decay characteristics of the 186-191Po isotopes are discussed in detail. Very recent results for the neutron-deficient At-Ra nuclei from the gas-filled separator RITU (JYFL, Jyvaeskylae) are also highlighted.The application of a new method to reach nuclei in this region - spallation-evaporation reactions of 238U ions at 1 AGeV on a Be target, followed by the separation with the FRS at GSI is discussed as well

AbstractAbstract
[en] Experimental structure and decay data for all nuclei with mass A=192 (Ta, W, Re, Os, Ir, Pt, Au, Hg, Tl, Pb, Bi, Po, At) have been evaluated. This evaluation, covering data received by 15 June 2012, supersedes the 1998 evaluation by C. M. Baglin (Nuclear Data Sheets84, 717 (1998), literature cutoff August 1998) and the subsequent inclusion in the ENSDF database of the new nuclide 192At (C. M. Baglin, literature cutoff 16 May 2006). It also incorporates the current evaluation of superdeformed-band information by B. Singh. Since the last publication, 192Ta, 192W and 192At have been observed, and an isomeric state has been identified in 192Re. The ε decay of 192Au has been studied using a multidetector array resulting in an extensively revised level scheme for 192Pt.
